Lets end this shit once and forever

Spoiler Supes takes it

I think I agree

anyone who knows shit about both characters would agree

I'm guessing Current Superman vs SSJ God Goku?

Then SSJ God Goku for the majority. Beerus at the end of the movie was physically shattering planets casually. He was punching Goku and didn't really do anything, only harming him with his God's Wrath energy ball. Whis even said he could blow up a solar system as the God of Destruction and Goku was tanking his attacks.

Though physically bench pressing the weight of the Earth for 5 days is pretty insane, stamina and strength wise. So Superman clearly has the strength advantage.

Though, we would have to see the new DBZ movie in 2015.

 No.17

>Beerus at the end of the movie was physically

Those were mini planets if you mean the gag at the beginning.

Superman took a supernova to the face, no one in DBZ has shown that power yet

 No.18

No Beerus physically flying through planets at the end when he ate wasabi.

>tanking a Supernova

Lol, Superman is HEALED by solar energy. He didn't tank it, he absorbed it. Sure the force of the supernova and the solar winds knocked him out, but he was instantly being bathed by massive amounts of energy that heals and powers him. If you blasted Superman with an energy source equivalent to a supernova, that wasn't solar energy, he would be dead, no question about it. Hardly tanking. Also that was Pre-Flashpoint Superman, he has been retconned and that feat is invalid.

But still, better to wait for the new DBZ movie 2015.

Goku wins, because Deathbattle is honestly shit.

Ryu vs Strider proved that.

It wasn't a literal Supernova
Do you even read comics

It was.

Superman still wins

I see Goku winning more often than not. Let's break this down:

Who's the better fighter?

Goku without question. Superman is no slouch, but Goku has trained seriously all his life whereas Superman has always been more focused on being in control of what he has than cultivating his abilities to his fullest. As such, Goku simply knows more about unarmed combat, despite Superman's training from Batman, Muhammad Ali, et al.

Who's stronger?

Hard to qualify, but likely Superman. Goku's feats of strength could mostly be qualified by how many times Earth's gravity he trains under, but once he starts training in the hyperbolic time chamber (Cell Saga), that information becomes irrelevant. In contrast, Superman gets nearly constant chances to do great feats of strength stopping falling objects, moving planets, etc. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the observable is more compelling evidence than the unobservable.

Who's more durable?

Probably Goku. This is a bit complicated, but Goku has been sent flying through pillars of rock unfazed whereas Superman tends to at least be stunned for a second or so after getting knocked through walls. Both are tremendously durable but Goku regularly seems to take beatings of the caliber that Superman took when fighting Doomsday.

Who's faster?

Both are kind of. Superman is Usain Bolt, Goku is Bruce Lee. In a fight I'd rather be Bruce Lee.

Who has better reflexes

Goku without question. He just fights faster opponents more frequently than Superman.

Who has better senses?

Superman. X-ray vision, telescopic vision, super hearing, etc. Very hard guy to trick, but that's not really Goku's style.

Who's energy projection is better?

Very hard to debate, and likely what it boils down to. There's a lot to be said for Superman's abilities. Telescopic vision + heat vision is one helluva combination. X-ray vision + heat vision = near instant lobotomy, but that's not really Superman's style. Freeze breath can stop slower opponents in their tracks. Heat vision might be flat out the best ability in Superman's arsenal in a fight. If he can see it, he can hit it and it can be obliterated. He's used it in a similar way to a FLAK canon in a recent Superman comic (I think it might've been Unchained) and in a Superman/Batman story he used it to knock out an army of Doomsday clones (nowhere near as strong as the original but worth about 1 amazon each).

Goku probably has this though. Master Roshi used a kamehameha to blow up part of the moon during the original dragon ball. Ki energy regularly goes to planet crushing levels and Goku is doubtlessly capable of it by the end of Z. What really kills it for Superman though is that his own resistance to magic is on par with a regular human's. Ki likely is some form of magic, meaning that Superman could potentially get one-shotted or two-shotted by Goku if he goes to using ki, which is pretty much his go to as long as his opponents aren't in punching distance. Even if Ki isn't magic, Superman generally doesn't do as well against energy projectors as he does against bruisers and unfortunately for him, Goku's both.

Goku can outfight Superman and probably has a better range game. It'll definitely be a fight until the ki starts flying, though.

>Goku without question. Superman is no slouch, but Goku has trained seriously all his life

Thing is most of Goku's life he has not trained in a formal martial arts.
Especially towards the later half of DB and all of DBZ. It's just mindless fighting relying on Ki.

Superman has trained in countless human AND alien martial arts.

>Probably Goku. This is a bit complicated, but Goku has been sent flying through pillars of rock unfazed

Picture related is what Superman has been through without a scratch

>Goku without question. He just fights faster opponents more frequently than Superman.

Just plain wrong.
Superman is and fights people who are faster than light.

Goku has just recently got to light speed in BoG movie, and even that is debatable.

Also Ki is very obviously not magic, it's been openly shown and stated within the DBverse that ki and magic are separate things. Ki is a life force, similar to chi.

Superman has the superior speed, striking power and durability. The only thing Goku outdoes him in is energy projection shit, but considering the speed it's unlikely any sort of ki blast will hit Superman

Goku would kill Superman with Kryptonite.

 No.27

where would he even get that

 No.28

Personally, they would never fight each other. They are both good guys and would team up to fight evil together.

I have no idea. I'm not a Superman reader.

I'd rather see Gohan's adventures with the Teen Titans

Goku would beg to spar, Supes would eventually agree to it.

I disagree. Supes has tanked hits from a weapon that had the power to annihilate ten star systems.

Vis-a-vis fighting ability, I would counter that while Goku spends a lot of time training, it's actually pretty rare for him to fight opponents that test his limits. Years elapsed between his defeat of Piccolo and the arrival of Raditz; ditto between his fight with Frieza and with Cell, and between Cell and Buu.

Superman fights extraordinarily powerful beings like Darkseid, Doomsday, Lobo, Zod, etc on a much more frequent basis. In practical terms, he has to have more combat experience, and in my mind that trumps training.
