Okay, so basically a friend of mine's harddrive crashed… On a mid-2010 Macbook Pro.

Now, after going through certain people I was able to get a USB bootable of OS X El Capitan, along with an SSD to replace it.

>Insert USB with new SSD

>Boot options shows the OS X installer and "Windows" HD

>go to Install

>must be partitioned first

>ofcourseitdoes.jpg

>Won't let me partition

>try to "erase"

>Can not write last block

The fuck?

Okay, what am I doing wrong?
