Thing is that a field doesn't lose status because women enters it. It is after it has lost status that womens enters it. In general, of course.
I don't really see the Absolute!!! need for a video game program. At least not blowing 3-5 years of your life on it. Because the tools for making the games have never been so cheap and plentiful.
Personally, I'm going to save to a good battle station and buy and loan actual books on programming and game development. But the most important work is done away from the battle station. Design sketches with pen and paper. Read books, watch films and visit museums. Hell, even take your local commuter train and spend half a day at the terminus or not walking the exact fucking way to work will give you useful impressions. Or why not print out a map of the town where you live and mark the areas you usually visit, then explore the uncharted waters. Just do it!
And the locker room game seems really interesting. I really hope that this program isn't a money grab scheme and it teaches good technical skills.
