I just worked this out to the tune of Purpose from Avenue Q. Input would be appreciated, I was just coming up with shit during my shift. In particular there are a couple verses that I just left with what was in the original because nothing came to mind to replace them, and the line "Why's there so much slant in this industry?" I originally has as "Why's there such corruption in this industry?" which I feel probably conveys its meaning better but rolls off the tongue worse. Also the "Don't do it for free" at the end is very random and I would welcome ideas for something better. The games sites mentioned are a bit random as well but finding two that rhymed was tricky. I'm talking about voice range, m8. Tricky melodies can be dealt with easily through practice, but if something's too high for someone it's too high and that's that. You learn pretty quickly as a singing tutor to shoot down songs from singers who bring in ones that are outside their range, it's a waste of time to deal with unless they're willing to put in continuous months of extra work to extend their range.

A few things:

1) Yeah, GGSings2 almost died because threads started disappearing from here and I don't know why. I don't know who the organizer/s are or were, but I think it was reduced to one guy at some point, and thankfully he was autistic enough to keep updating the project on twitter.

2) I was really disappointed that so many people had worked so hard on their songs and come up with some really, genuinely cool things that might have just disappeared without ever having been heard. I scraped together what I could find on the docs and mixed as many of the remaining songs as was possible to do. THERE WERE A FEW songs that I couldn't complete because of critical problems (one song had an Audacity project but forgot the actual audio >.<; ). I tried as best to find the owners of every song and work with them, but some were dead ends. (Not to mention the docs were organized fucking horribly – sorry GGSings organizer.) If yours was one of those songs that didn't make it in, I'm sorry, I would have contacted you to figure it out and it can still be included on the next album if you want. No song was actually rejected!

If you participated in a song in either of the albums and it wasn't finished, and especially if it simply wasn't mixed, if you bring it to my attention (@wrecksey) I will mix it for you for the next album.

3) By the time the second album was officially released (June 1st) I was sad because I thought nobody was interested anymore. The organizer didn't announce it anywhere so I was going to, but I just felt like a self-promoting ass talking to a bunch of people who I thought didn't care anyway. So seeing people actually posting in this is great!

4) As somebody was nice enough to mention, we started using >>>/sings/. Obviously this thread will get more traffic, but you can always get us there, and I encourage you to make a thread there if you're working on a song, because then we can get in touch with you if we need to. Disorganization has delayed, delayed, delayed these albums and caused us to miss songs.
