First time I'm actually interested about Superman in decades. Being trapped in New 52 Universe is the biggest crisis he's dealt with yet. Nobody cares if Superman is going to die because he always comes back. But now hes under a very real threat when New 52 might turn him into shit as well.

No matter what path they take their sales will continue to sink. What bothers me the most about TUSG isn't the SocJus panda ring, or the literally sketchy art, but the fact that they took Squirrel Girl, who was ostensibly an excellent joke character beforehand, and decided that she needed her own series because "lol Imma meem character nao!!1!" and they couldn't create a new character to fill in the "ultraquirky female lead" niche Marvel apparently felt existed.

The joke, of course, is that she really is unbeatable through some bizarre twist of fate. It's entertaining when this nothing character with supposedly useless powers shows up for a few pages and proceeds to conveniently kick some villain's shit in including MOTHERFUCKING THANOS SINGLE. HANDEDLY. and then fucks off to do other, unrelated things. It's not entertaining when this unstoppable character becomes the focus, because there is no longer any tension or conflict in the story. Basically, every single book at Marvel right now is SJW shit, or just shit in general. And even that wasn't enough. The sales have been abysmal as a result, so everything got a relaunch because tons of their books were under cancellation numbers. Notably:

-Squirrel Girl's book is a terrible seller with terrible art and horrifically bad tumblr writing, but it got a re-launch and the character will be in the supporting cast of two other books to try to bolster her popularity.

-Spider-Woman had her breasts chopped off and her current plot sees her extremely pregnant and being a single mom, no word on who the father is.

-Ms Marvel is still about a fan fiction writing Muslim girl who took the Inhumans dog despite Muslims hating dogs because the writer is a white woman who converted to Islam in her 40's.

-Captain Marvel is still about the former Ms. Marvel who is still in a shitty costume with a smaller bust and dykey haircut.

-The new Hulk is Totally Awesome Hulk and will feature Amadeus Cho as an Asian Hulk who gets a fauxhawk when he hulks out.

-Miles Morales (the black Spider-Man) was brought over to 616 and will be the main Spider-Man

-Despite a complete lack of popularity Hulkling and Wiccan are being brought back strictly because they're a gay couple.

-Thor is still a chick, Captain America is still The Falcon.

-They seem to have given up on trying to make the black Nick Fury popular as every step of his story has been mind-numbingly stupid.

-The Inhumans continues with the plot being Medusa cucking Black Bolt by taking his throne, declaring him unfit for it, and fucking The Human Torch

That's off the top of my head. Meanwhile, SJWs predictably still aren't happy because for example, the new Hercules book doesn't make him gay.

Fantastic Four is still cancelled, the X-Men books just get worse and worse and no longer receive any promotion.

Leading theory is that Marvel is doing this on purpose, that they're trying to run the value of the comics into the ground since they can stay afloat with the movies, video games, etc. Once Fantastic Four rights revert back to them, they'll have a full reboot. The comics won't go back to the way they are, but they'll basically become exactly like the movie universe with the notable absence of the X-Men from the new timeline.

I'd do it something like this.

Prologue/Cold Open:

Nitro is being chased by Iron Man and War Machine before running into a school. He blows up when cornered. Rhodes and Stark gets away, taking off their helmets for obligatory screen time, but everyone else is dead.

Act 1:

Establishing shot of Washinton DC cuts to a crowded Capital Building with Christine Everhart (because she's confirmed to appear) among other news people saying where they are (because films have to be sold internationally) and how the SHRA has been proposed because of the incident. Inside the capital building Stark testifies for it and is extremely remorseful about what happened and cops to everything. Then a senator from Maine reads a letter from famous illustrator Margaret Power and her husband Dr. James Power mentioning that their children might be forced to register and undergo whatever is required if they somehow acquired super powers (explaining just what is in the act along the way, something the 616 version never bothered to do). Captain America, unlike stark, testifies against the SHRA before congress, also speaks about what makes America great and it isn't the government keeping massive files on citizens. This speech is used to show off that Steve isn't just dumb muscle (having brains and charisma), what he believes makes America great AND showing how out of place he is in the modern America where Wickard v Filburn has led to unlimited government power. It fails in the senate, but the president passes it by executive order (even Saturday Night Live, which is not at all a conservative program, had a piece lapooning Obama's use as an introduction, embed related, so it's hardly an unneeded politicization of the movie.) dun dun dun.

act 2:

Caps is, naturally, confused and annoyed (allowing someone to explain to him, and non-American audiences just what the hell an executive order is, with Captain America saying what they are supposed to be, giving orders to already existing agencies on how to direct their efforts within the confines of existing law) and tries to recruit people to find some way of stopping it. He initially has some success (though not perfect, having people in Asgard tell him they aren't getting involved in midgard politics) and next approaches Stark. During the conversation Stark notes, accidentally because he's drinking, he has just gotten a very lucrative government contract creating super soldiers and he attacks Caps for some reason. Caps gets away because Stark is in no position to pursue when drunk and, seeing how his love of booze made him make two major mistakes, says he's got to kick the habbit somehow (saying why he isn't in future movies)

Act 3:

Black Widow and Ant-man infiltrate a Stark lab (so they contribute with their actual skill set instead of being dead weight) based on something Caps found out with Stark, starting as part of a tour group alongside a high school class before sneaking into the back, doing something and accidentally causing a spider experiment to get loose while sneaking around. Camera follows the spider back to the tour where the it bites a teenager (Peter Parker, duh). The infiltrators are discovered and a fight breaks out, causing a fire or something (that conveniently also destroys any data on the spider experiment) and gets the building evacuated, with Peter showing early signs of his abilities as he gets out of the building while it falls apart (It's not hard to find a way to showcase jumping, lifting and climbing while escaping a burning building). Medical response declares him healthy despite how long he was in the smoke

Act Four:

The rest of Spider-man's origin. After Ben's death Peter flees to a rooftop to mope where he finds Captain America. He asks him about duty and "great" responsibility, prompting the famed speech from Caps. This causes Peter to join him for…

Act five:

Captain America's group goes up to the White House and demands an explanation for something they found in the lab. Stark's group is tricked into thinking they are trying to kill the president and they fight until…

Final act:

Because of Parker's inexperience (he redirects an attack there, he lets his guard down and Caps blocks something for him and it deflects there. It doesn't matter what exactly) some stray attack hits the president as he watches the fight with an evil smirk through the front window of the Oval Office. Caps trys to help him (which shows Stark's group they've been tricked) and it is revealed the president was mind controlled/a duplicate created by whatever force created Nitro in the MCU (who will be the bad guys of the next big movie) and the super soldiers were intended to be used for their ultimate invasion. Everyone teams up to fight the secret service agents who were actually disguised agents of the force. Story goes that Civil War: Movie Version happens when the rescue mission to save Bucky goes bad and civilians get killed while fighting Hydra and Crossbones. The events may or may not be orchestrated by Baron Zemo to discredit super-heroes, who in the movie version basically is the REAL bad guy and that Tony/Steve are going to be manipulated by Zemo into going to war.

Bucky is the lynchpin of the entire thing. Supposedly, Tony finds out Bucky murdered his parents and the thing that causes everything to break down and fighting starting, is that Tony demands Bucky stand trial for his crimes while Steve wants to give Bucky the benefit of the doubt given how he was mindraped.

Both sides reconcile in the third act, when Hawkeye gets captured by Zemo and Crossbones and Crossbones kills Hawkeye's wife (Black Widow does this in the comics, having sold America out to Loki and Iran/North Korea but since that would trigger too many people, BW is simply going to be the Tigra traitor figure instead).

The final act has yet to leak so it may lead to a non-shitty ending where Tony loses and Cap wins, which is how it should have ended in the comics.

I've been saying (well, said, like twice, in Facebook comments) since I saw the first Avengers movie, and then bought the new "Avengers #1" that coincided with it* (which had a ton of characters that had nothing to do with the movie, and appeared to continue directly on from the previous issue, anyway), that Marvel needs to start a "movieverse" line of comics - NOTHING in them that's not been in the movies, and later movies referring to events that happened in the comics. Plus using the comics to introduce the odd new character, who then has a cameo in the following movies. They'd sell like hot cakes.

*-I prefer freaking NORTH KOREAN comics over American ones, but thought I'd give them a go, and just got confused and annoyed. I suspect a bunch of other people who watch the odd Marvel movie and tried a comic felt the same.
