They aren't even needed anymore since GG has slowed down and the issues invovled can be discussed on /v/ or /pol/ without the GG banner.

It's different on Reddit with KiA because they can't discuss those issues on their video game or politics boards since those subjects are banned.

I don't think Acidfags "purge" helped but it certainly wasn't the reason GG boards lost interest or else GGrevolt would have taken off. What really happened was a split of the users still interested in GG on 8chan between those two boards.

The Gamergate name itself is now mostly unneeded.

Nah. I would be inclined to agree were it not for the fact that the mere mention of "Gamergate" triggers special snowflakes. A conservative blogger (can't remember his name) put it best when he said Gamergate was the first entity to give SJWs a "bloody nose in public". The possibility that I could be responsible for some SJW Tumblrina getting TwitterPTSD is lulzy to say the least.

You wanna talk fascism? Then focus on finding out how Brianna Wu manages to secure unnamed venture capital to develop "emotional VR" games for the motherfucking Oculus Rift, when the only released game GiantSpaceKat studio has released for commercial revenue is the iPhone version of Revolution 60; a free demo that has the in-app "full-game" purchase to skirt iTunes App Store fees. Meanwhile, it's been a year and a half and the Steam version STILL isn't released despite being a relatively simple port thanks to being on Unreal engine, and them now working on an Android port. The only other announced title GiantSpaceKat is working on is Cupcake Crisis, basically a Rube Goldberg-style iOS game along the lines of The incredible Machine for kids with autism. STILL unreleased with no date in sight. And no one will buy it. Or the Steam port. Or a VR game for hardware that doesn't even exist in the six-digit range of consumers.

When good companies go under for underselling awesome games and THIS shit gets released and the LWs still get to run amok with seemingly bottomless pocketbooks, I will never rest.

The best i can do is BTFO shills and ask questions for things i don't know to signal boost them.

Even if the board is slow, at least every post is worth spearing some time to read, before the purge most of the stuff was SJW drama and e-celeb shitflinging.

I agree with revolt that we should extend our reach beyond Vidya, porblem is i don't know how, and they oviously don't either, so i stay here to focus on the fight i know how to qin, for now

I'm sure a GamerGate board still has it's uses. When it's on a different board like /pol/ or /v/, it's usually limited to one thread. Here we can have multiple threads and bring attention to more things at a time without the constraint of a post limit.

It's been quite a while for GamerGate, and it's lasted a long time. I don't think abandoning the board will help the issue.

I wasn't really around to see the details of the board owner's purge however. So I can't really comment on whether or not it helped or not.
