8chan's board owner nugger (Hotwheels previously owned /b/) has laid down a set of rules for /b/, the random board. /b/ is suppose to be chan culture in its purest (and consequentially chaotic) form - anything goes while you are anonymous. Adding rules is entirely counter to this and such faggotry must be purged. If you want rules, create a new board instead of shitting up an existing one.

8chan has only one global rule - no illegal content. Beyond that anything goes so long as the board owner does not prohibit said content.

Now if Board Owners want to restrict content that is fine, but /b/ is suppose to be the heart of anon culture in which anyone can post anything without fear of censorship or social consequences.

Enforcing a code of content against the established culture is a means for censorship to take hold. This is something we should stand against.

It's one board. On 8chan, not halfchan.

They can simply make a new one, as we did multiple times before.

I'm not simply dismissing the possibility of there being a problem, I'm just not seeing a problem here yet. Don't know the rules, and I never lurked /b/, even before the migration, so I'm alien to what's changing there exactly.

I know it's chaotic, I know almost everything goes there. But knowing only this much is still too little to know what these new rules mean to the board.
