Seeing its starts from the flood "gamers are dead" articles coming out almost simultaneously, passing through clickbait sites, then sites that were "respectable" (and equivalents for non-internet outlets), various non-news agencies (social media, forums, wiki pages, etc) then people going to (inter)national entities talking about gamers and harassment, it's more accurate to say that GG motivation went from "Ethics in video game journalism"->"Ethics in journalism"->"Ethics"->"Geez, does Hanlon's Razor even apply anymore?
