It's Latin, meaning "on this side of", and is the opposite of trans "on that side of", and it was probably used to say which side of a river something was on so you'd know whether you needed to ford it on the way there. The biggest problem this really faces is the lack of info on censored material. The slider, the outfit? Both clear examples. But the other stuff repeatedly stated is… mostly stupid changes and minor. BLADE could've changed to avoid the Engrish, not for any religious reason. A character's name is just a basic letter change with L and R mixups. There's a couple nonsense ones too like Unions into Divisions, Dolls into Skells, shit like that.
But so far the only potentially bad change in the script is Testament into Reclaimers. Was looking around for some idea of the supposed religious censorship and haven't seen anything concrete. Altered imagery where? What was removed? Have seen both claimed but no proof of either. GameFAQs, /v/, neither have evidence of those.
Makes me think some people are overreacting and jumping at shadows without verifying anything.
