OK, I went and posted these on pogostick, because I sincerely believe in the stuff I said there.
Got recognise that trolls did a fine job dividing us, when we could simply have come to a civil agreement if there ever really was a disagreement on board rules (and sincerely, there never was until before the initial trolling/dramafagging by this troll clique).
There is no use in being enemies with an user base that was manipulated. We did something that we needed, but the fact that we even needed the purge to begin with means that we failed to prevent this, and we were played as well, about as much as they were.
There is productive stuff happening at revolt, which is something we should recognise. The thing is that we must also recognise we can't work together on a bunch of topics: we are not as anti-e-celebs as they are, and we do not like the idea of product boycotts, so this would probably just end with useless infighting yet again.
We should simply take from this episode that we can co-exist, even if through our different hubs, and cooperate when there is something both boards want to do, and there is plenty of stuff we can do together.

I personally still think "the purge" was a mistake on the part of Acid and it led to quite a loss of users. That's a valid critzism and I agree with the revolt consensus on that part. Though it's quite obvious that Acid isn't deaf to criticism and relaxed the rules again. Also the clique wasn't innocent in the stream of events that lead to the purge.
But you would think that they would get over it at some point. They have a new board, nothing is standing in their way to build the perfect GG board that they always wanted. But still, there are constantly two or three threads up about how much they hate HQ, Acid and everyone else in GG. The primary focus of the board ended up being infighting, which is the reason why it gets so much shit from all sides. There is a noticeable D&C influence in /pogostick/ and judging from the twitter/youtube activity of the clique, it's coming from them.

Anon, we asked for the purge. I remember the 3 stickies we had on it before the decision was finally put into effect.
We were on already almost 2 months of heavy DnC trollery and dramafagging. Almost no useful conversation was had during that entire time, and at least around 500 users were lost before the purge was ever effected to begin with.
What else could we have done? We tried talking to the guys for that whole time and Acid and mods tried relaxing rules to appease them, despite the majority of userbase asking them to apply rules… Again, what would have been a better decision?

He also obsessively hated Chris-chan, made crude drawings of himself shooting him with no self-awareness. Before long he was a lolcow nearing Chris's infamy. When his infamy spread, a pack of degenerate trannies who knew him personally popped up to laugh at him and mock him and spread embarrassing stories about him. Chief among them were two at the time known as Jordman and Rika. In time… they too became lolcows, mocked for the insane things they were doing. Are you noticing a pattern yet?
In case this is going over your head, I'll spell it out for you. If you're in a troll clique, you've surrounded yourself with people who are as soecially mal-adjusted as you who actively want to ruin people's lives, and you know for certain will eventually turn on you. Picture someone with a split double-chin and a nasally voice sitting in his room waving toy swords and sonic screwdrivers around while waxing poetically about his own wisdom in a vein similar to MovieBob or Razorfist, but far less intelligently than either. Guy sounds like pretty low-hanging fruit, right? Should have been easy pickings. Hell the guy had commissioned disgusting gay art of his OC character having anal with his own son.
The problem was the clique of people who took it upon themselves to "troll" him were widely regarded as more annoying than he ever was, with creative trollsonas like "robotlobstershoulders" and "TV'sBradPitt". (incidentally I mention them in part because I get the same vibe they gave off from everyone in Ayy-Team.) They spent months roleplaying and cybering with this guy trying to get dirt on him. Got him to send them nudes and everything. And in the end once they posted them, everyone hated them so much they were more concerned with sabotaging their epic trolling plans than spreading the image of that guy's discolored ballsack.
