Ethics in videogame journalism. Pfft,
Like asking for ethics in tabloids.
Videogame websites are a dying medium on top of that. All that was relevant was that they colluded to create a narrative and silence discussion of a scandal on their and other sites all across the internet, even on halfchan, and that people won't stand for that crap. All for a discussion that would have stopped being talked about a few short weeks after, had this clique of vidya sites and affiliated tabloid and blogger sites, not sperged. The smoking gun wasn't even the game journo pro list either, too much /pol/tarded-ness got some hooked on that because it sounded reminded them of Ezra Klein's Journolists, and those fools only see things in black and white right vs left dichotomy, but most normal people see that and don't see the same dichotomy.
No, the real smoking gun was discovered pretty clearly without that list (from which plausible deniability would obviously be argued as far as shared agenda is concerned.),
when all those gamers are dead articles linked to the same damn Dan Golding scribe. Thats where the collusion was made obvious, where more consistent observation should have been done and what should have been brought up more. I rarely see people pointing this out in debates, its like some didn't look at the articles, like that fool John Kelly, when he got BTFO in a stream by that slag, Liana K, of all people.
