My theory since I first found out about Josh has been that they met in college, and he instantly became subservient to her. He may even see it as a partnership, but she sure doesn't. Anita's just a con, plain and simple. We know this from her past in marketing. She probably always described herself as a feminist, but wasn't too serious about it beyond a slight dislike of men and a really simplistic view of the world. Along comes Josh who's more than happy to write all her papers for her. He sees it as a way to get his marxist messages out there (and this is his past, I can't remember the name of it but he was previously part of a marxist group with the stated goal of destroying western society) despite being a member of the groups he rails against (white, male, wealthy.) She just saw him as a free ride through college where she coasts through everything. She's stated in several videos he watches every piece of media she critiques with her, they're his critiques. He's likely also the one who plays the games. Even when she went on twitch she was having someone else play the game.
