Don't I know it. After all this time I'm still baffled as to how people can have their opinion be so firmly set in place on something, even when they find out a friend they've known for years is one of us. (I was that friend)

Rick and Morty swings both ways at times. They quoted the dumb wag gap statistic which made me cringe, but then there's that episode where Jerry and Beth go to couple's counseling, and you see their perceptions of each other turned into living creatures.
Beth is portrayed as a vicious alien monster and Jerry is a pathetic little worm. To me this is about the negative roles men and women are sliding into in our society. Men see women becoming demanding, overbearing and cruel beasts while women see men becoming weak, submissive pushovers. It's a reflection of the nightmare world where SocJus wins.
Not to mention the part where Rick burns Summer by being flippant about having some great revelation about gender equality.

I was already pretty bored by the show, but was watching it because a friend kept suggesting it, and said friend came over and put it on. From what I saw, it was just full of that reddit-style faux-edgy humor. "Oh look at me being so edgy while saying things the mainstream already strongly agrees with." It just so happened that episode was the one where we stopped watching, and I didn't figure what I saw was enough to warrant coming back to it. Maybe it got better over time, but considering that it took a steep nosedive in quality after the initial Doc and Marty short, I doubt it.
Call me back when he makes a show about Marty McFly sucking Doc Brown's balls again. I'll watch that.
