When I saw that Tim Schafer had ANOTHER fundraiser, I was very skeptical of things as most people should be. He got nearly $2,000,000 already, and that's quite surprising to see. But I am not trusting of Schafer, so I went over the ENTIRE THING to see where the money actually is. The following is what has been collected from his Fig fundraiser.

https://www.fig.co/campaigns/psychonauts-2

Note that if someone can get an proper archive since I seem unable to this would be really appreciated to always have something to show what went on, just in case Schafer attempts to backpedal things. Seems someone might need to log in and spend some to archive possibly, so if someone can bite the bullet on this one, it would be much appreciated.

Also note that most people already know Schafer had three days added to this fundraiser, which is already really bad to see without being addressed at all. And another thing is that the funders will only be partially responsible for funding, outside sources are funding this game anyways. The Fig Fundraisers are only adding the icing and sprinkles to the Schafer cake.

What does this mean? Some people are, together, helping to pay WELL OVER what their Rewards are actually allowing in some of the Rewards on the Psychonauts fund raiser. That is over $1,000,000 unaccounted for in this fund raiser, Tim Schafer!

The ONLY way for this to work is one of two ways. One, if every single person were to in fact have put in over DOUBLE what they funded into this. Two, if certain backers were to dump in a TON more than they needed. So if the $10,000 backer was to in fact dump well over $500,000 for example. Who would shove in that much in a reward tier when it's not needed…?

Just who is funding this additional $1,000,000? And what will Schafer try and say should this come to surface?

If only I knew how to delete posts due to repeat posting…

Anyways, I thought that Schafer's fundraising felt really off. So what we really seem to have is ALMOST $900,000 from funders, with over $1,000,000 in funding that is not explained at all

>>308013

To be fair, most people aren't likely to know much about the shitshow from Kickstarter. When they see Psychonauts, they see a game they want to play and will fund to do so. Though I won't be surprised if there are people from Broken Age that just aren't seeing to reason what the hell is actually going on.

As you can see, that's likely where the majority are when it comes to numbers. MOST of the funders are in the lower brackets, around 8,000 for anything $39 and below, which really isn't a lot of money for people to put in. From $250 and lower are the people that would go out for collector's editions, which is another 2,000 people.

It's the people from above the $200 mark that we see the drop in numbers and start to wonder just who is in fact putting in that additional $1,000,000. Likely these people here are somehow dumping in a massive amount to get this funded, so people should be ready when this thing meets its mark by a previous donor dumping the money into their past reward tier.

Hell, whatever he raises, I'm pretty sure we'll see another fundraiser not long after because he spent the totality of the first one, even when he got twice what he asked.

371d81 No.308022

Priming the pump is not a new thing and most likely allowed since Mr. Shitface more or less owns the crowdfunding platform. Ask any experienced busker, you'll get more people to throw down if there's already some money there.

What's really interesting to me personally is how much he'll skim off the top in fees.

>Tim Scammer is on the board of directors of Fig, a crowdfunding website similar to kickstarter or indiegogo.

Basically he made his own crowdfunding website so he can skip those pesky consumer protection rules on kickstarter, extend his crowdfunding duration when he feels like it (has already done this when the money was less than he expected), etc. Not only Genna Bain, but numerous people in the industry have called him out on his BS. His most grievous sin is making me agree with Bobby Kotick!

I honestly can't understand who keeps giving money to this fucking hack but given that there is an option to be an investor and thus get a % of the game's sales I can see how most of that money might come from dumbfuck angels trying to make a quick bucknot knowing fatty tim is going to blow their money on tranny patreons

Funny how despite all the good games crowdfunding right now they couldn't get any on fig, must be because most devs and in particular the hipster kind like tim who like to do whatever the fuck they want with backer's money wouldn't want to use a platform with higher levels of accountability.

Ironically I knew some guys who were making a project like this and they couldn't get any devs on board for this EXACT same reason

Alex Rigopulos was also one of the highest backers of Broken Age's Kickstarter (the character of Alex is named, and loosely modeled after him as well as voiced by him https://archive.is/nybFg). Also on The AbleGamers Foundation's advisory board since 2010 (https://archive.is/dkMe). Gave 2 grand to ScoreHero.com, $9,600 to the Colbert Super PAC in 2011 (http://www.colbertsuperpac.com/fec/forms.pdf), and gave 10 grand to a rock band consisting of preteen girls (https://www.gofundme.com/fjjyhs). Only thing that pops out as being interesting is the fact that he's given a shitton of cash to Tim before (the "in-game character based on you" tier was the second highest tier at 50,000 dollery-doos https://archive.is/cVyOv). Fig is planning to raise $15 million by selling 30,000 shares in the game "Grasslands" at $500 per share. Normal people are not going to be buying shares of anything at that price. They must have a buyer already lined up.

They are already $388,930 in debt. How? And to whom?

Fig is owned by Loose Tooth Industries. Someone has been digging them:

>Why is the videogame press quiet about TIm Schafer and Fig?

Because he's on gaming journalism's good side due to being SJW, saying bad things about GamerGate, etc. Plus if gaming journalism called out Fig, that means they would be trying to help out gamers, and as we all know "gamers are dead", so why would they want to help gamers?
