I think another thing that people need to realize is that there's no need to show a character's sexuality most of the time. Hell, most video game characters we know and love might be gay for all we know.

I mean, games aren't like movies where there has to be some romantic subplot in every single game.

there were a HUGE amount of critical threads lampooning GaymerX all weekend on halfchan /v/, and every thread was pruned or deleted without any particularly inflammatory content in any I saw. I think it was pretty much seen as cancer as a concensus.

From all the tweets under their hashtag and a few anons posting screenshots of the con directly, it was pretty clear that it was a gay hookup function first and a gaming convention second. There was a lot of gay cosplay and atrocious clothing choices, and I only saw ONE pic of 4 hambeasts actually playing a game, Rockband. It seemed like it was just a room full of booths selling shit merch like the "mediocre white male" shirts and feminist bags, and other SJW shit like TransJobFair. Minorities gonna minority, normies will never swallow this shit, Regular cons already have an abundance of autistic wierdos, a con this focused was like an espresso shot of garbage.

The problem has always been gayness being politicized in the US. Traditionally by both sides, but it's obviously worse with liberals now. If they didn't treat this shit like making some profound statement against the man, I think less people would give a shit. About that. If you check Rule34, there's a ton of gay porn for certain series where characters are canonically straight. Under one of these pictures, I've read some dude point out "how come there's no more straight porn for this game?" and some fucktard replied "it doesn't always have to be about you, this is straight entitlement". Pages of turning straight dudes into gays because that's your fantasy: not gay entitlement. Wondering why canonically straight dudes are not engaging in heterosexual relationships: straight entitlement.

Kinda shit (but not at all suprising) that GaymerX ended up like that. I looked through their schedule and while it was full of fluff panels, there were those two that talked about being a producer in the game industry and other about localizing games. That would be at least be worthwhile to see if the content is legit.
