Not listening to your holier-than-thou opinion: I'm sure you've had at least one bad-thought somewhere between now and the day you were born, which obviously voids everything you might say in the future. And yes, the topic of the bad-thought is irrelevant, any other topic shall not be discussed by you either (for instance, having the wrong opinion about how marriage is presented destroy any argument you may have on the relevancy of a writer)
Note: he's not "making a call for legalizing rape", he's stating how marriage embeds conjugal duties (sex in particular) as of now (so it's already legal). That is how it is established by law for both husband and wife, it is what you agree to when you put a scribble down that sheet of paper titled "marriage contract" (contract for God's sake, the proof that you agree on something). That's why cheating on your spouse, or being declared impotent are direct deal breaker and will result in a divorce thanks to which she's leave with half of your stuff. That is because sex is a huge part of marriage. Hence the point he's making: "I invite those who believe that consent may always be granted and revoked at will to consent to join the U.S. Army, then attempt to withdraw their consent" and "once married, neither husband nor wife has the right to reject the other's marital claims".
Thumbs up to the naive commenters who believe that it is his position, which it isn't. You signed a fucking contract (not "vows", which are inspired by the contract itself and don't go much into details) which you obviously didn't read through and now you're butthurt when someone reads it aloud to you. It's the same shit every time: you don't read the EULA and when it comes back to bite you in the ass, you shoot the messenger. If you have an issue with the legal bounds of marriage, take it to your government to remove these duties and rights from the contract instead of having yet another law that will benefit women more than men. But before you do, ask yourself "what's left for me" after you removed these things.
