This looks like nothing. From what I can tell the dev had a release date of January 25th set, and then decided to release the game either when the Twitch play was completed or the 25th, whichever came first. So it could only make the game come earlier.
Do you have any evidence that the game was supposed to come out last week? I found a PC Gamer article from the 6th saying that the game would launch ahead of schedule, but only if Twitch could beat it. So at worst it was just initially poorly worded on Steam, but they updated that announcement and made a new one clarifying what they meant and there is evidence that is what they were telling people even before the Steam announcement so it wasn't just them backpedaling.

Hold off for now and just stick to this GGHQ and /v/, the beta is still fairly broken. There's active load testing, IPs aren't fully secure yet (if that matters to you), and Josh is trying to get each machine to pull off 100 requests per second along with help from people that manage 2ch. He'd like to start yet another a migration by the end of the month but is thankfully doing a lot of testing first and with any luck will just keep using /b/.
For now, stick to these boards because even though it's held with duct tape, it kind of works.

Apparently Infinity has always been fine. Josh fucked it up in the first place and made it run like shit. And then after he ruins it, he ends up getting paid to develop the solution he created.
The worst part, for everyone who doesn't understand how databases works, is that his DB design is terrible. He missed the basics of designing a database. In fact, it's one of the absolute first things you look for if your DB is running poorly. And all you have to do is literally type "explain" in front of your query to see if it's a problem query or not.
According to that thread, this fucker actually convinced HW that you don't need indices or normalized data in a database. I don't know how HW fell for it, but he did. And needless to say it completely fucked up the site.
HW reverted the change and the old code works. Old 8chan is perfectly fine.
There was a thread, not sure how true it was, stating Josh was actually a goon. If it was actually true, it means Josh was sent here to sabotage the site, take our money, and fuck us all up.
The site works fine now, by the way. go post. It's fast.
