Anyway, I've recently had a tinfoil hat moment. What if all the distrust to law enforcement, and the push for gun control, we've been seeing in the last few years was manufactured for one, specific reason? Maybe people like the BlackLivesMatter crowd are useful tools that are supposed to undermine the authority of the police. By painting them as unstable, racist and gun-happy, "someone" could force some legislature to weaken their powers down to nothing. Take the guns away from the citizens, and when the next mass shooting hits, there will no one to stop it. What then? "Obviously" we can't trust ordinary citizens with protecting themselves, because its ordinary citizens that caused the killing spree. Equally "obviously" we can't give guns back to the police, cause they'd just use them to kill black children. I guess there's no other way than to introduce some kinda heavily-armed militia into the United States.

On a related note, was there any TV channel that has shown Die Hard during the Holidays? Because there's a supporting character there that's a cop - and while he did shoot a kid, he's also black, so we can't hate him unconditionally. And to make matters worse, we're supposed to feel bad for him. How triggering it must be.

There is an entire appeals process in place to protect people from so-called police and prosecutorial misconduct.

Funny how nobody ever mentions that in a rush to judge the system as unfair.

And there are interviews with the prosecutor involved that say the documentary ignores certain evidence, while playing up the more salacious aspects of the case.

The documentary is several hours long so they discuss hundreds of pieces of evidence in it, and they mention what documents they're referencing as they do. You can't just handwave this documentary away by saying "documentaries aren't necessarily true".
