There's a term for it, it's like academic suspension or probation or something like that.
Chances are that since Wu failed every class every semester, when the administrative department booted him, he'd go right to his advisor and get reinstated either by demanding his parents legacy be recognized, insisting that he'd bring the LGBT protest wagon out, or both and they just ultimately caved and let him have it every time with little push back because they didn't want to deal with his crazy.

I heard Duke was pretty good (and admired the porn actress paying her own way after her dad was called up in the reserves and his income dropped). Vanderbilt's apparently decent, although they're uppity and even call themselves "an Ivy League School" (they're not). But Old Miss is ranked #140 behind several other mediocre state schools around the country. I mostly know it from "The Blind Side" so it has at least the following alums: an NFL player, a tutor, a fast-food restaurant owner and an interior designer.
