What's funny is how Alex uses the term "treasure map", which is often used in NLP. To give you an idea, most seminar manual based off NLP (either to sell you shit or persuade people to sleep with you) seem to be a perfect copy of each other. At this point, I suspect there must be a nest somewhere and they all draw their content from the same place.

I suppose Sarkeesian went from Mandossian to Baggett because NLP left a strong impression: page 39 of Bart's manual (page 35 if you refer to the numbers on the pages), you'll find the classic "The more you X, the more you Y" ("the more you think you cannot be affected, the more likely you are to be affected", as heard in Women as Background Decoration Part 1). Most of her trope videos reeks of this shit.
