The prosecutor in this case, Marnie Goldberg is sex educator who just happens to also be a lawyer. She was involved with tedx vancouver the same year Guthrie did tedx Toronto. She does not list her law degree anywhere but her personal website. Other than a potential illusion of impropriety via TEDx I am unable to make any connections between either accuser and Ms. Goldberg. Although if I was about to take on this case as a prosecutor I would destroy any evidence of impropriety before the trial began.
The arresting officer, Jeff Bangild, has exchanged several tweets with both Guthrie and Reilly while the trial was happening.
Several Buzzfeed writers who have written pieces on the trial in favour of Guthrie have a long history of tweeting wth Guthrie before, During, and after the trial. One even discloses their friendship in one of the butthurt articles on verdict day.
Anne Tetrault, a blogger at Canadaland (a site who Guthrie has contributed to) has written hit pieces against National post columnist Christie Blachford who was covering the trial, in what I would deem a factual and fair manner. Tetrault was one of the first board members of #WiToPoli
Sara Rachford, writer at Vice who has also written a hit peice about blachford, also has a long history of tweets between both accusers and herself, before and during the trial.
CBC social media person John Bowman, also friends with Guthrie has tweeted negative things about elliot during and after trial.
Greg Burell, friend of accusers attempted on the night before the verdict to have the Wiki Entry Deleted unsuccessfully.
