Reminder that if you want to use his gamedev tutorial, better rip it off youtube asap since these two assclowns apparently made themselves owners of everything released by the LLC.

Something about this story doesn't seem right, his fellow two partners/friends blow all the money and he can't sue them.

2 partners/friends he knew for 11 years, not just a nobody programmer like the one who ran off with a bunch of money with no work like in the Yog Adventures/Winterklew Kickstarter failure.

It's seems like a way to pass blame over reckless money loss and just get away with it, without any further investigation.

Sim Ant came out 25 years ago, if EA/Maxis wanted to make a new one they a long enough time to do it. It's never been available on any digital store.

The game is abandonware. You can even it from the Internet Archive for free.

I find it A LOT more likely that it was the programmer that got fucked over by the Finance guys. I mean look, let us assume that what the partners said about him in a recent interview is true, that he "Cut loose" and "Took control of bank accounts" and yada yada.

What defense would he even have in court? It'd be easy to check the bank accounts for money and where it has been spent and unlike the financial guys, whom wrote shit down under "Business expenses" and so forth, he doesn't really have any legal defense, does he?

he can, but he recognizes the futility in doing so. He's underprepared and underequipped for a prolonged legal battle for two guys who already blew the money and can't pay him back even if they somehow lost a court case. Meanwhile, he can't afford to lawyer up and it would take years to battle in an environment he's not personally prepared for. It's a shitty situation, but it makes more sense for him to let it go with a thorough apology and blaming the shitheads who misspent the money. He can't do much else in a practical sense.
