Do you remember the New York Times article that linked Gamergate to the Utah State school shooting threats that Sarkeesian received? It was planted by Susan Bohle, a professional PR agent who was working for Kate Edwards of the IGDA.

The BBC made a program recently on gaming -I didn't see it -maybe some Britbongs here did -but pic here relays some info on the sort of thing that goes on with the media. I've seen this before -earlier on in gg there were similar things from MSM/games media looking for girl gamers to interview -but only if they talked about sexism/misogyny etc. so it kept in line with the one-sided narrative. Anyone else saved that stuff? Or I'll have a root round the infodumps when I get time.

Also in sci-fi/fantasy books, it's the same story - they've been dealing with the sjw narrative years before GG. Obviously SFF has a much longer history than vidya and there's always been female authors in the genre. The sjws either don't research it so don't know what they're talking about, or 'conveniently ignore' it as it does conflict with their agenda. Researching and presenting facts from history means sjws can't present themselves as the saviours -it doesn't fit their narrative that other women have been there all along.
