I get why anon thinks this is a positive development, but shutting down nearly every pre-law program in the country, which is what this does, bodes poorly for Japan. The likely outcome is increased Japanese nationalism.

If you're American, they like you just fine. Except for right-wing nationalist groups and some yakuza families, but that's probably not a problem.

If you want to be a naturalized Japanese citizen, that's harder, but if you marry a citizen and learn to speak Japanese fluently, it's doable in 5-10 years.

Look to World War II's relationship between Japan and Germany. And I sure as fuck hope you're not referring to me. I mean that really would be a new low. There are at least two people that take issue with this thread.
