Hi! I've been interested in GG for a while, but I have a horrible confession to make; Rock-paper-shotgun is my go-to source for gaming news, especially on indie titles. It's come through for me many times, despite the massive amount of clickbait on that site in recent years, and I've yet to find a good gamer-friendly alternative that is as frequently updated.

I feel guilty for enjoying the content of such fuckheads, and would very much appreciate all of your advice on better places to get gaming news (ideally with an indie slant) minus the SJW bullshit. I already browse their site with ad-block and ghostery, but I still feel scummy for even being compelled to visit, but I'm afraid it's an addiction at this point…

Any advice? This thread can also be a place to recommend good gamer(gate) friendly media outlets that aren't complete shit.

Nah, Escapist has some artists and contributors that don't like GG, along with some mods.The ex-contributor Extra Credits duo James Portnow and Daniel Floyd also dislike GG and Totalbiscuit.

But discussion is allowed on forums. Yahtzee is neutral on GG.

The thing about The Escapist is that back in winter of last year the owner of the site came back and took control of things, cleaning house with most of the anti-gamer shit stirrers and tried to get things back on friendly terms.
