>Hang on, is she not allowed to oppose Harper?
She's allowed to oppose Harper, but her twitter wording is publicly confrontational in a way that event organizers. It's the same reason Milo Yiamonopoly-guy experiences censure despite being utterly harmless.
>Because if you oppose someone, it generally follows that you don't consider them credible, unless you're controlled opposition.
This isn't always the case. It IS in this case, Mercedes thinks Harper is pure scum, but generally you can have opposing viewpoints and not necessarily hate the other person or question their credibility, depends on the issue. Mercedes is definitely not controlled opposition in this instance.
>Or is it because she's alleging that they're colluding and they want that smothered, because that's essentially an admission.
This is probably accurate. Mercedes isn't a controllable media outlet, but has a ton of followers, far more than Hamplanet. Forcing her off her platform at the event and endangering the event at large by association is the only way they have of silencing her dissenting tweets. I agree that it's as good as an admission of guilt in the court of public opinion, and the Streisand Effect is definitely going to blow it out of proportion. Milo would love to run the story to help blow over the other Breitbart scandal going on I imagine.
