Correct me if I'm wrong, while we supported SavePoint, we had nothing to do with it. We also had nothing to do with getting that shit canceled. It was SJWs who made a fuss and in the end SavePoint had more people.

This article lack of self-awareness is hilarious:

>Three panels ran concurrently throughout the day, and topics were often duplicated.

>The conversations, as a result, happened in a silo with panelists frequently echoing similar opinions or observations.

>That set up prevented ideological confrontations that could have been valuable.

But I also see it has no source to back up their claim (it's hard to find proofs of your lies if you're not willing to fabricate them yourself). So here, have a fully source time line:

TL;DR

On October 26th 2015, after receiving "numerous threats of on-site violence related to this programming", Hugh Forrest (SXSW) cancels both "SavePoint: A Discussion on the Gaming Community" (Mercedes Carrera, Lynn Walsh, Nick Robalik) and "Level Up: Overcoming Harassment in Games".

SXSW never provided any details regarding those threats, no one but them knows who sent what to whom, however journos ran with the usual "blame GamerGate" headline and demanded the "Level Up" panel to be returned.

As a Plan-B, The Open Gaming Society proposed to host an independent panel during the SXSW time frame, but somewhere else (so those who wanted to attend the panel could still be able to do it easily).

This ThinkProgress (may I propose you to rename the site TheRegressiveUnthinker?) "article" is a conglomerate of those other articles, pretty much uncritically repeating lies and deceptive statements that were already copied and pasted thousands of times.

Journos will be journos.
