1: THREAD RULES: E-celeb discussion is restricted to one megathread. Exceptions will be given for: Digging threads on aGGros, new material from pro-GG content creators like Milo or Based Mom, or at the request of anons with good reason. Discussion about board issues or staff complaints are restricted to the FAQ sticky, and making meta posts in the board catalog or derailing unrelated threads with complaints will result in deletions and a ban. Off topic threads that do not violate rules WILL BE AUTOSAGED so they don't take up page 1.
2: Anti-SJW digging and #Operations threads are explicitly allowed on the board and are unrestricted. Breaking SJW stories in the news that show significant social impact are also allowed as their own threads (i.e. Shirtstorm, Protein World). Minor SJW discussion, or discussion that is only for gossip is restricted to the containment sticky. When making an SJW digging or #OP thread, please ensure the thread title reflects the type of thread it is.
3: Inter-board drama is not allowed. No picking fights with someone based on where they are from or using their home board as an insult. Everyone is welcome to contribute here, including /pol/ and KiA. Making baseless complaints about the poster ("GO BACK TO /pol/-REDDIT WITH YOUR SHIT FAGGOT!") will result in a warning and post deletion.
4: No "tone policing." How other people talk on the board is not your concern - argue with their ideas and not their speech. This is a chansite after all. Twitter is different, and all posters from the Twitter front are advised to keep their language a little cleaner when using that service.
5: Shilling and shitposting: "Shilling" is hereby defined as "detrimental shitposting that can be reasonably expected to have a real, harmful effect on the ability of #GG to accomplish its goals and which provides no constructive input." See also: Defeatism, divide-and-conquer shit-stirring, intentional and repeated thread derailment, spamming, repeatedly advocating risky, self-defeating and counterproductive ideas that have previously been rejected by the community, blackhatting, actual harassment, actual threats, doxxing, impersonating, and false flagging. Note that the definition of shilling does NOT include reasonable debate, arguing, criticism, dissent, or complaint. In #GG hub tradition, the opposition is welcome to present their ideas here as well, should they find the courage to do so.
6: Violating 8chan global rules, ban evasion, spamming the board, deliberately and persistently inciting drama, or lying about board rules and policies to deter others from posting are all grounds for post deletions and automatic permabans.
7: Avatarfagging is only allowed on posts making a material contribution to a thread. No posting them just for commentary. If you're contributing good shit in a post, you may avatarfag that post.
8: Clickbait sites must be posted as archive.is (or alternative) links only in order to deny those sites click revenue. This extends to all #GG-blacklisted sites like Kotaku and Polygon.
9: No direct-linking to Reddit. Plebbit admins can use the IPs coming from 8chan as ammo against our allies there by claiming we are "brigading" them. /v/ has requested no direct linking to their board either, except in case of a happening.
10: To clarify, what constitutes "on-topic" discussion on this board shall be (but is not strictly limited to) any matters related to the videogames industry combined with any of the following categories: Journalistic Ethics, Censorship, Corruption, SJWs and their impact on the industry, and Cultural Marxism as it relates to SJWs and corruption in the industry.
11: Off-topic Threads consist of: Political and social matters totally unrelated to videogames are not on topic unless they mention, reference, or allude directly to gamers, gaming culture, #GamerGate or 8chan. Boycotts specifically targeting game developers are not on topic on this board due to the presence of Operation Rebuild, and belong to our neighbor Videogames board at 8ch.net/v/. All other boycott discussion is welcome here.
