It would have blown over pretty quickly if he had just said "Yeah it was a bad joke, but there's nothing going on, don't worry", but instead he chose to start retweeting AyyTeam posts about how awful and salty GG is and how ungrateful everyone here is for his sacrifices. He spent the next several hours on twitter retweeting anime reaction images and desperately trying to convince people he wasn't mad while he followed the one thread about it, all while pointing out all the unsolicited twitter mentions he was getting and mean things people were saying about him.
