I think the new board name completely detached from the previous board names will help a migration move along better. It's new, it's not /gg/, /gamergatehq/, or /gamergate/.

Here are some of my thoughts on moderation.

I think most peoples view on moderation is you deal with the spam and blatant false flagg troll posts, and play a lot by ear and make sure the board always feels like they are a step ahead of what the moderators should do.

Always err on the side on non deletion. The board must be told to deal with shills smartly and educate itself, not sperg, be cool, some shitposting is inevitable, but we all know even at the best times of digging there are luls where not totally GG related gets posted and the board responds, it is not for us to tell the board what is relevant.

Although that always comes with time as the board develops it's own culture like before, which has been TOTALLY destroyed by that prick.

The boards finds balance that is with time, not the mods, the mods observe the mood.

The problem with Acid Man is he couldn't read the mood at a fucking funeral.

Obvious disagreements are not shills, Acid Man does something that riles people up, they respond, and THEN the shills get to work.

So when people come back after the mods heads are fryed they lash out calling good gg shills and drama fags and defeatist and ban them, which just fucking enrages and makes people turn that anger AGAINST the board.

THEN they become shills.

Another thing, mods should not jump in and make political declarations one way or the other, they shouldn't try to sway the boards agenda like the mods did so many times on hq, post as fucking mods.

Acid Mans hitjob on S4T, like him or not, was out of order. The information was what needed discussing, by the board, not the mods shitting on it for PR.

Also, remember the recent SRHBUTTS thread fiascos. Where dig nigs were doing good work and making links to the kickstarter, NOPE mod deletes it because it triggered him, board goes apeshit, Acid Man never backed down and said it was wrong. He said he would 'allow' it, like he was a trial Judge.
