So what's everyone's trade here? What could you offer the project if we were all there right now fresh off the boat, assuming you have all the necessary tools with you?

Right off the bat I'm going to admit I'm an unskilled worker. I did some labor-intensive work with my dad years ago, but nothing I really learned from it. I could probably hang drywall, tape joints, texture it, and give it some coats of paint and semigloss, but that's it. I know the theory of cutting down trees safely, but haven't had enough practice with a chainsaw to safely cut anything taller than 30-40 feet; my face cuts are garbage. I'd have to admit boys, I'd be fairly worthless to everybody right now, but I'd absolutely be willing to work as hard as I could doing grunt work.

Do we have any carpenters, plumbers, electricians, anyone who knows how to set foundations and lay slab? We need solid tradesmen immediately

We'll probably need a veterinarian.

Whatever you think you're good at, list it here.

I'll have a bachelors in electrical engineering in about 2yr

c2d314 No.1254

I've knitted socks, hats and sweaters

Planted trees and fences

Routed, etched and soldered a digital clock pcb to make a working clock

Walked for 5 hours across tundra to take photos

Explored caves

Used a row boat and a kayak

Picked and eaten wild berries in the tundra

Grown vegetables

Fished a cod with a broomstick

I'm also good with 3d printing stuff

Gathered a lot of info off the net

-Earthbag building

-Natural remedies (recover quickly)

-Alternative energy sources

-Water filtration

Also been to prepper sites, /diy/ and /out/ which cover a lot more. I'm already on the skype chat.

>>1254

Similar to me but I've never walked across tundra or soldered that much.

I've done quite a bit of landscaping work and useless factory work. I've been homesteading as much as I can for a while and like to do alot of survivalist shit.

>>1252

Awesome.

My dad is a completely self-taught electrician and can basically wire an entire house by himself. Do you have much practical experience?

fcb495 No.1260

>>1250

I can do pretty much anything you ask me to, and if i dont know it, im an incredibly fast learned, im fluent in spanish and english and have basic programming knowledge

7a97ea No.1261

>>1250

No OFFICIAL trade skills but my father taught me how to plaster, paint, hang drywall, and build wooden structures like sheds and stuff.

d48a66 No.1262

I am an accountant by trade, so I can manage individual and community accounts if needed.Other than that I have a bit of a green thumb and have some basic DIY experience too. What we will need are people with the time and effort to farm.

be4fbc No.1263

I recommend everyone try learning a bunch of skills that may be useful, such as anything to do with wood work, electrical and mechanical engineering, farming, finance, fishing, etc.

I was thinking later on in time we could have our businesses and do apprenticeships, so we could teach untrained people from abroad that want to join the community some skills and they can then come legally

Keeping chickens will be the most cost-efficient and nutritious way of feeding ourselves until we manage to get large scale farms up.

Chickens and feed cost next to nothing and eggs are an excellent source of protein and other vital nutrients. You could live on just eggs for months without too much detriment to your health.

be4fbc No.1290

>>1262

I like the idea of farming, growing crops, raising, skinning and butchering animals, harvesting eggs, milk and crops, building and crafting, fishing, though it may be alot more difficult than expected and maybe not as pleasant. This life still sounds so much better than working all day in some office and then buying everything rather than doing it yourself. From the little farming, fishing, crop growing, landscaping, crafting, etc. that I have done it seems pretty fun though.

>>1284

Chickens and other small animals would be good to start as they reproduce relatively fast and produce eggs.

24f0d3 No.1299

Once i go to college, i'm becoming a plumber.

99d90e No.1302

I'm completely unskilled too unless you count shot posting. I am the Reginal manager for JAYDEEP and have 4 convience stores 2 hotels an inn and 2 returants under me but no skills in actually making anything like a house

99d90e No.1303

>>1302

Same fag here I do go hunting 2 times ayear but I'm not exactly a pro at it.

It's never too late to learn some more trades and skills.

I think if you could shoot and kill a seal from 100 yards you'd have value. At this point in the project, if you have a body and you're white and you're willing to work, you're valuable to us.

5b22ff No.1309

>>1258

Nope; my minor is in computer engineering, not so much power transmission

Where is this in Greenland? I can build a house from the bottom up. Know how to operate small saw mills. I would assume there is somewhere to get concrete or there wont be a good foundation. Is this just some pipe dream or are you doing it now?

12794c No.1338

>>1337

We're getting close. If you have a Skype we can add you to the discussion, we need skilled people

177c9a No.1366

8 years retail, fruit and veg, shelfpacking, storeman, customer service,

2 years picture framer.

Pretty useless skills to be honest.

c03393 No.1381

I can repair electronics. I've grown my own food before, I can fix cars/engines/generators. I have experience with low cell signal amplification, and BGAN sattelite modems. I build led grow lights.

9cc18b No.1397

>>1366

Dont worry, there is still much time to learn skills

>>1381

Will be very useful

066cd5 No.1400

I have a degree in Civil Engineering if thats any help? Working towards getting Chartered status. I like my work but I hate the people I have to work for. Have some experience in building and site surveying I would like to get more though. Hopefully something like this could be a help.

12794c No.1403

>>1400

That would definitely help. Add me on Skype: willymcpherson

Your feelings do not matter.

Go get some skills.

ce343c No.1410

from personal experience i can tell you: very few of you need skills. you simply need a few people with skills and be willing to do whatever they tell you to do. you'll pick up skills quick

I'm a neet but I work out every day and stay in shape.

I could do hard labour all day if I was in a situation where that labour was to the benefit of my race. I'd chop trees or shovel dirt all day long if that meant our white enclave would prosper instead of lining the pockets of dindus and kikes.

000000 No.1412

I'm a sailor. I mostly crew for rich big guys and take their expensive yachts from A to B.

Any use for me?

9cc18b No.1415

>>1411

You'll be great, just read up on some stuff and try to learn some skills beforehand.

>>1412

You will be very useful as lots of transport will be via boat

Dont forget to join the skype

696dc2 No.1419

I don't have any professional skills relevant for the project (I work in retail) but here's stuff that I've done that isn't professional:

>plumbing maintenance

>mixing and pouring cement

>electronics assembly

>3d printing

>computer programming (still learning)

I might start getting into machining and a little wood working if the Shemitah doesn't fuck us over.

10 yrs IT, network, sysadmin. I grew up on a farm so I've raised chickens and took care of some pigs. Also grew a couple of veggies.

You guys allow Asian people in this endeavor?

5ff85e No.1426

I only just stumbled upon this, but I think making money online could be an option.

1. We are all proficient in the use of computers

2. If you start making websites, setting up facebook pages and gaining social media followers now, it is easy to take this with you to Greenland.

3. If a number of us do this we could have a ready-made online marketing network that we could use to start a very legitimate business.

4. Daylight hours could be spent constructing and learning new skills while online businesses can be worked on during the night

5. These businesses can continue to generate money while we're doing more important things. They can make income for months or years with little input once set-up.

6. If we have money we can hire skilled locals to do some of the work for us, especially if we don't have anyone with the skills we require.

Could use a trade instead

0adfb1 No.1433

I can do Pottery (on an apprentice level),

I'm a decent Gardener, haven't done it in a while though

I'm hoping to learn some blacksmithing soon.

I haven't really tried many things though but I suppose I wouldn't be bad at learning something new provided someone was willing to teach me, same goes for all the fags here.

P.S. Greenland isn't entirely unpopulated, there's some settlements here and there, and they all have people that know things like plumbing and the such.

Really brah, I mean I'm not trying to offend but holy shit dude.

I doubt Aussies who are used to 200 Degree (Fahrenheit ) weather, could take the fucking cold of Greenland. I was Raised in Pennsylvania and stayed in North Dakota when it was winter. worst fucking Winter ever, lets hope we have some nano cloth that keeps you warm in that weather.

http://www.greenland.com/en/about-greenland/nature-climate/the-weather-in-greenland/

"The air is generally very dry in Greenland in relation to many other countries, and because of this low humidity the low temperatures do not feel as cold as you might expect"

Also the temperature isn't that bad. I know it's summer there right now but look at pic related

cf2d50 No.1437

>>1412

How did you get into that?

5068eb No.1439

10-ton captain's license, might start working towards a bigger tonnage if I have the time. If furnished with a decent oceangoing vessel I could transport freight, fish, or conduct research if needed.

I'm fairly skilled with construction, and living in New England has taught me a thing or two about building structures for long, cold winters.

My first few jobs were writing/editing for local/regional news publications, so I could help get our very own newsrag going.

I also do a bit of vegetable gardening.

78b8a0 No.1494

Am I the only Welder/Fabricator on here?

0c8f3b No.1495

Been doing construction since i was a early teen, know all about carpentry, and concrete laying. Also thinking of pursuing engineering in college. Besides from that ive had experience doing innawoods shit, hunting, fishing with just a string and a hook, building quick shelters. And i know some electrical basics but i really just know how to wire something to a fusebox.

c0b5cc No.1511

>>1250

I'm going into computer science. I have experience in construction and understand how to create footings. I grew up in the middle of nowhere so I have good outdoors skills.

c27e45 No.1521

Just found out about /greenland/ on /polpol/.

If this kicks off I'm ready to study anything that is required by the community. I'm a hard worker and mainly done gardening in my career.

I know how to create efficient composts etc.

Also got a good library of ebooks from krystallnacht on sustainable gardening.

Mainly been interested in studying theology but a lifelong project like this I could commit to with my life.

c27e45 No.1522

>>1521

I've also done projects and documentaries on enviromental politics and also met with many high ranking officials and politicians, so I would be an active and a good addition to the community as I have some experience of the bureocratic lingo in politics.
