It's too niche and not even the small userbase that this board ever did have has posted here much.

I think what this board could use is some infographs of all the essential /grim/ music, films, and books (and maybe vidya and some other things).

Yeah, and what are the conditions for the possibility of people actually sticking around here? For whatever reason, getting a community here to not die off pathetically if it isn't a legacy board is next to impossible. Maybe because having leddit-style user boards on an imageboard is a bad idea, because then a bunch of fuckboys will make hundreds of boards that never even get a single post.

Whatever the case may be, I don't expect /grim/ to have any future on 8chan. This *chan as a whole is fucked. And I'm not sure I want to advertise to people outside of the imageboard community. I'm not sure where they hell I'd even advertise to.

I'm gonna use this thread to request the name of a /grim/ film I can't remember. It was from the 70s or 80s about scientists doing experiments on a group of women involving torture and rape.

I remember seeing it on youtube about a year ago but I remember it having a realistic grim asthetic, like a more amateur salo. One scene I remember in particular is a naked woman running through a dreary shallow lake trying to escape before someone catching her and pulled to the ground.

The reality of this kind of conversation is painful. Perhaps it is better to shut away into the safe haven of our imageboards. This is our home, where we mostly don't have to deal with normalfags, especially like the ones you were referencing. And that is actually something I'm happy to have when I think about it. Though I do wish this board would get more movement.

Another day spent lying around, sleeping and drinking. To be honest, it doesn't seem worth the effort. Typing this post is the most activity I've had in some time, and it's totally exhausting.

I suppose I could be considered terminally depressed or insane, but that term really just denotes anyone whose accepted mythos conflicts with that of the labeller; I see no reason that my apathy should be less desirable than the action idealized by another, be they skeleton, man or god.

Why then, did I take it upon myself to break from my beloved apathy to come here and ramble pretentiously?

I feel like contemporary society's expectation for a human being can be explained by looking at machine learning. The machine will first try lots of things, conforming more and more overtime. Eventually it loses all of what could be interpreted as free will and begins to the the function it was trying to learn to do the same way over and over.
