It's funny, a lot of punk bands and hippies used to write songs about nuclear war and how we've got to destroy all the nukes so that this kind of thing will never happen, but I say bring on World War III. Not that I wouldn't be disappointed to miss out on all the potential scientific advancements that would happen if humanity or myself were able to live longer, but ultimately it's all just a spectacle anyways. Posadism is a message of possible hope though. Whilst he didn't believe the world as is could accomplish anything, he did believe things would get better after we nuke ourselves and/or aliens uplift us.

I guess that's no different than people who hope the afterlife is better than this life though, they still tend to be pretty depressing.

Posadism is pretty kek worthy, but you're correct there. I'm not entirely against the idea of an apocalyptic nuclear war, but I don't know where this Posadas got the idea that we have any right to think that nuking ourselves will lead to anything better. All that we know is that the world as we know it needs to be destroyed.
