DSBM is a particular subgenre of black metal that has created some quite beautiful music that is still brutal as fuck.

Lars von Trier's work in general is pretty /grim/. I really loved in Antichrist for instance that he explored some themes on the brutality of nature, because nature truly is extremely dark and violent despite always being falsely represented as otherwise.

I still have yet to see Nymphomaniac, though.
