If you've come to this board, you probably want to know how to best take advantage of it. Here's some pointers on how to format your thread to best convey information so people can access your server.
1. Post the game your server is playing in the subject field
The most important piece of information
2. Post your server's IP address and password (if applicable)
Also vitally important
3. List mods your server uses (if any) and the correct version of the game
People can't play your game if they aren't using the same version as you!
4. Post (an) image(s) related to the game your server is playing
Not vital, but it could help draw interest to your server!
5. Post the rules of your server (if any apply) along with your OP, that way, people who join your server may be inclined to not be assholes
No fun allowed
6. Post server uptimes, downtimes, scheduled maintenance, closures, etc. Delete your thread when you no longer want to run your server
Nobody wants to get excited about joining a server only to find out it isn't online! Be considerate to the community and update your thread accordingly
Other useful information
If you'd like your post edited, make a post with "edit" in the subject line and a link to the post you want edited with what you want the edited post to look like and I'll edit it for you, provided the IDs match (if you are using a dynamic IP address and IDs do not stay the same for you, this is basically the honor system and edits that are insulting or look too different won't be added). I'll try and get Hotwheels to give board owners the option to allow users to edit their own posts.
