Just spent the day playing it. I don't like it at all; they complicate things way more than it needs to be. You want to research x? Here's a list of 50 requirements before you do that. The transition from "X requires minimum level of 3 Y" to
"One of the following must be true:
all must be true:
Z less than level 1
Q at least level 3
F at least level 2
One of the following must be true:
all must be true
Z less than level 2
Q at least level 4
F at least level 3
….
and it keeps going on and on and it eats up the entire screen, leading me to not be able to comprehend all these 50 if/else statements at once
So right off the bat the technology tab ruined the game for me. Also some other things bothered me such as having to choose between something or another that wasn't like this in vanilla. If you play as a minor nation, you have the option to lower your neutrality from the start since it is very boring to sit around with 9 IC from 1936 until whenever the game ends without ever fighting or joining a faction or handing out IC to another country. In black ice, you have to choose between lowering your neutrality (which takes like 1000 of your supplies away which I needed since I only have 1027 and was in the red) and some other choices such as gaining a research bonus without penalty.
And lastly, a lot of these national decisions are stupid and it is usually better to not click any of them rather than to get negative of something without anything in return
