This is a tough question.
Certainly, my usual reaction to guro is to laugh at the sheer existential absurdity of it all. However, it often seems more like a kneejerk reaction, a defensive laugh of sorts. It somehow has a hollow feel to it, reminding me of how the purring of a cat can signify sadness, pain or happiness.
In a way, I do enjoy the peculiar sort of laugh I get from playing around with a horrifying thought so yes, perhaps I do find it funny.
