cool board. keep it up. hacking needs to be a skill more people have. it needs to be less mystic, like "hackers" are some crazy ass super villains like tv would have you believe

 No.181

Cool board yeah, only that it doesn't have many people. The "crazy ass super villain" thing works out as long as you don't get caught. It prevents huge masses of people taking it up, which would lead to an equivalent response on the whitehat side, which in turn would make things harder for everyone else.

#q181

It's the lack of social skills that most of us have. Most of the "big boys" are autismal retards that think if I casually mention a city in Egypt in response to a question, my answer gives away that I'm a government shill because I "purposefully" misspelled Cairo.

Paranoia is natural in a field like this one, but some people take it to a bit of an extreme, not sure much can be done about that. Hopefully this board doesn't develop that culture.

Yeah need to find a way of keeping the board alive. Dont want this place getting deleted.

As long as it gets a post ever 72 hours, should be fine. The issue is expanding it, gotta shill more.

Are we worried about getting wrong people in here or you guys not bothered ?

 No.205

There will always be newbs, and the farm boys are too easy to spot nowadays. With file leaks happening at least every week after a new strategy is announced it's not hard to stay in the loop.

 No.208

>>201
If by wrong people you mean newbs, than:

As >>205 said, newbs will always come, not much that can be done about that, the problem is making sure you have enough competent people to have real discussion

 No.213

>>208

Well tbh I dont mind the newbs, in teaching you will learn and all that. I am newb at some stuff also.

I mean the typical I wana be l33t hacker guy who wants to fuck people over and generally doesn't contribute to the board.

>>205
but most people will come look read and not even attempt if because it requires effort to learn i am also a noob but you gotta start somewhere

 No.260

haha people being hackers will always be that because its a skill people dont bother learning, its like being skilled at anything the people that dont understand or know anything about it will always think its like a mystic skill it doesn't matter how many people can do it

 No.327

Hacking is a useless skill in every sense of the word. All it will do is lead you straight to jail, and nothing else. I am still trying to figure out why anyone would be proud or want to take this skill up.

>B-BUT I WON'T GET CAUGHT

You will, and the feds already know you are either planning to hack, or have, you just didn't hit anything big enough to land you in jail for awhile
>I-i can help people
Then go to college and get a degree in it. Oh, changed your mind? Guess you aren't so ethical as you thought.
>Your just shit posting!
Indeed i might, i also have been down this road and know from experience what goes down. Give 5 good reasons why hacking shouldn't be a dead "skill"(as in clicking on an IP then hitting attack was a skill)

lol you know nothing of the magic of rooting that first server. Rushing through the phone lines like heroin through an addicts veins…

 No.338

>>328
By that you mean downloading programs that a 6 year old can use, feeling like a hacker by using a program that you can't even come CLOSE to understanding. And as for the "rooting" you mean follow, and i mean heavily following, a youtube video on how to do that. OH BOI SUCH A HACKER

>Implying all hackers aren't edgy teenagers

>Implying anyone actually good at computers has a well paying job and life
>Implying hackers aren't all going to get caught and given heavy punishments.

 No.361

>>338
You don't understand the difference between a hacker and a script kiddie. Most actual hackers write a lot of their own scripts. Real hackers discover 0day exploits.

Also, a real hacker doesn't have to do anything illegal.
