Why is Halo 1-3 so awesome?

On the one hand you have a Story of classic epicness, trought with implicit speciesism and natural order. A war of tribes, Humans versus the Covenant, and the Flood an even enemy of mass spreading.
It's an epic story, one that will make you cry if you are high on the dope. In Master Chief's emotionless helmet, you sense, deeply, a real sacrificer. A man who gave his whole life to save his tribe, even if they started him off in the SPARTAN program by unlawful means. Tears rolled down my eyes because he was the definition of loyalty, of absolute, sheer Godliness.
Halo rules the games in terms of proportion of war. Surely, any fiction can beat this just by defining objects as larger than the halos, the ark, and the ships in the game, make it on an intergalactic instead of just galactic. But Halo captures the small parts building a great, =great= empire. We sense the humanity of the marines, in their upgraded-WW2 uniforms. They are expendable, but necessary as a buffer against the numbers of humans. Master Chief is part of a species, a group, that must survive for their own sake. We can see, as well, that the majority of the humans in Halo are 1 race, white. In Halo 1-3 there are no black marines, only Sgt. Johnson. A truth that will not be seen by bluepilled people: Humanity will only ever be so advanced if it maintains a white majority, which is supremely capable of maintaining high-functioning systems. There is only one black man that is in the UNSC in Halo 1-3, Sgt. Johnson, which is telling that yes there is very capable black people, but there are a tiny tiny minority. In this story of ever loyalty of white people to themselves, in keeping their tribe strong, there is no mention of it. It is a fantasy that through the colorblind mentality of the 2000s, we ended up with a majority white world where only the most virtuous black people were left. This may not be in alignment with reality, black people lack a sense of honor at alarming rates, but some do, and they were the ones that made it to the future, and after 500 years maybe the minority became something more suited to the stresses of high-functioning society.

We are proud to announce that ElDewrito has finally reached the milestone version of 0.5. This update will allow you to play on all of the new maps present in the latest official release of Halo Online: High Ground, Last Resort, Narrows, Standoff, The Pit and Sandtrap.
This will be the last major release of ElDewrito made by the original team. We have decided to focus our collective efforts on an entirely new project called Anvil Online, which is a mod for Halo Online that has different design goals from ElDewrito. We will do our best to keep you updated on our progress on this project. We will create another post later with more details on the project.
We welcome the community to continue our efforts in the meantime, while we work hard to bring you the best experience that we possibly can.
With every ending is a new beginning.

I made a thread on /v/ last week to try and get some people together to play some custom games but had no luck. Someone told me to start a thread here to get people interested.

So you ever thought that halo online ran a little to well and didn't look pretty enough well now you can fix thati was digging around in cfg files trying to find out how to disable mouse acceleration and auto aim and found out you can config all kinds of things
FSB, BPP, texture size and buffer, DOT3, LOD, Mirror and Reflections, SSAO, Shaders, MipMaps, LightMaps, water physics? and a hole bunch more things i dont understand
So what i did was i turned on a bunch of things that sounded pretty and turned off some Saber/Azure debug server stuff to make the game load faster and bam you have the screen shots
i still have to find configs to mouse acceleration and auto aim what i did kinda helped but not by a lot and for you probable not at all and i need to find mmc or halo 3 files to see if i can fix the rainbow 80's shader issues and maybe build this thing into some super ui if i can rap my head around what all the settings do but other then that this was a fun i was board project
right now how to run it for your self
1.max out your screen resolution and other settings in halo online
2.go to your halo online root dir and make a backup of game.cfg just in case reasons
3.download this http://a.pomf.se/phhgls.cfg and rename from phhgls.cfg to game.cfg
4.then place in the Halo online root dir
