I made myself a 2m tape measure yagi

I've made a couple, the latest one is a QFH for 137Mhz NOAA weather satellites.

another I still have is a 900Mhz yagi that I used back in the day along with my 3W bag phone to connect to the nearest (at the time) cell tower which was 14 miles away

I tried to make this indoor vertical antenna.

It worked Mehseriable. 2:1 SWR for whatever it was tuned for.

I threw all the "Radials" over the edge of the roof, making it look like a dipole.

But then I could tune my antenna by touching the radio!

So I built and installed an Ugly Balun:

And then it tuned up really nice.

Yes, my homebrew is based on the thousands of years of conflict for the holy lands in the Middle East. It encompasses all the cultures and their respective mythologies of the peoples that had a hand in the conflict.
