Yep. Unfortunately, I fucked that ASUS W5F (upgradable!) laptop less than 24 hours after I got it– I was testing what voltage was needed to get the recharger going, and got the polarity wrong. https://8ch.net/tech/res/533549.html .. It'll at least be an easy fix if I can find out the component which blew.

Very. And the prices they were asking were very very reasonable for restorations – although I did hear them be selective, making sure the pieces went to an enthusiasts. (Cool!) .. I thought about getting the signal generator on the end ($100), but I really need a frequency counter.
