I already checked the pinned thread, but i need to have some kind of knowledge to understand what those sites are telling me.

I like the idea of exploiting things (IRL or not)

start going lower level. write some shellcode. do some buffer overflows, some format string vulnerabilities, learn to write C and how to not write C. figure out what you can do with your suid and sgid bits. learn how to do some ROP. That should keep you busy for a while.
