Hello. "We" are looking for highly functioning autists, To find them, we have devised a test.

There is a message hidden in this image (you don't say).

Find it, and it will lead you on the road to finding us. We look forward to never meet you, filthy sociopaths incapable of eye contact, but hopefully you'll have some fun all the way through.

Some facts:

- There are no decoys. If something is there, it's there for a meaning.

- Nothing overly complicated. Horses, not zebras.

- You don't have to unveil everything to get to the end (there are a lot of redundant hints)

- The vertical inception level is more than six, the horizontal inception level is two.

- It's kinda easy.

- There's no porn.

- No, there's no porn.

- There's no malware.

- The test is self-contained. It's possible to take advantage of online resources, but it's never necessary.

- The test is theoretically OS-agnostic; anyway, using anything but a GNU/Linux platform = asking for troubles.

- No law nor freedom has been harmed in the making of this test.

Advice should be necessary later on…

There's some other data laying around, but for now I would focus on … extracting … that big piece of data below the actual image.

The method to extract it should be straightforward.

Btw, this "test" lingered on /tech/ for one month before going 404, only the first couple of layers got "penetrated" (and only with a large use of hints).

"We" don't really expect this to be solved anytime soon ^^

Few hints to get you on track with what has been unveiled in the previous edition:

- Cornelia

- 7z

- base64, xor (using a certain string you should guess from the… image) and hex/reverse hex are your friends. Some tools allow you to pipe cumulatively a function of the abovementioned friends. You could do it by hand if you prefer (no)

- image metadata

I can't get past the second image.

Hints:

* Learn to recognize common file magic codes when you see them

* There is data in the junk at the bottom of the first file

* There is useful metadata in some files

Symbols with unknown meaning:

* GNU/rms, pepe, the specific kind of pepe, Shibe, cicada, the bottle that the cicada is overlaid on

* 12x12 background pattern of the layer 2 image

* The symbols in the background pattern of the layer 2 image. They are different in every tile.

* https://pastee.org/scqj – Code to encode, decode, and xor ascii strings. I spent more time searching the web trying to find such tools than it took to code my own.

Ok so basicly what is going on here, faggot on the picture with a poster of snowden in the back, we got two qrcodes and one large ass motherufkcing piece of shit at the bottom, easy to miss, then the normal picture obviusly has some shit done to it, it looks all shitty and shit, then we got the sick pepe in the bottom right corner of the top partion.
