Let's assume the national age of consent were raised to 21 in the USofA. On the plus side... I see no advantages. Teens get pregnant no matter what because they fucking can. Some girls are so ass-retarded they want to get pregnant as soon as their ovaries send out their first eggs. And boys and men of all ages will donate the sperm necessary to fertilize those itty-bitty eggs. Oh, and let's not forget that you'll have a huge majority of the US military in an outrage, since a fair amount of them join when they're 18-20 years old, meaning they're old enough to fight and die for their country, but god fucking forbid they should have an orgasm or three with someone else.

Cons? How about a dramatic rise in statutory rape? Someone decides to change the 18 to a higher number, and because of that, we suddenly have an exponential increase in people who are, because of some ink and paper, criminals.

A lot of things would be simpler if society promoted marriage as the only acceptable place of having sex. If sex is seen in such a way there would be less need to, with other methods (high AoC), alleviate the potential hazards of sex, because people would tend to not screw around with so many partners, etc. The same goes for parents having more of a say in who their daughters mate with, it could reduce the risks.

I pretty much think that the lowest permissible age (women) within such a framework, would be right after first menstruation, or if a specific age; 13.

I think it inevitable for young women in particular to crave sex at a rather young age, and this would tend to be with men significantly older than themselves. I don't think there's much to do about this, it is more a fact of life/biology, and as such I think we should just deal with it. I'd say marry them and get the thrill over with.

I think the AoC laws should be done away with. Rape is rape. If you force or con some one into doing it then it is wrong and you should go to jail. Don't matter what age they are. But people that are willing and able and want to do it with each other should be allowed to regardless of age. We all know kids as young as 10 want it are doing it with each other, so why is it suddenly rape if one of them turns 18 and the other is only 15. If God wanted you to wait till you were 21, then you wouldn't have gone through puberty at the age of 12.
