I need something to watch tonight. What are some good movies featuring young, but talented actresses?

Here are a couple of my favorites to give you an idea what I'm looking for.

1. Leon (The Professional)

Currently my favorite movie. Very emotional and quirky. Natalie Portman does an phenomenal job as Matilda, a 12 year old girl who falls in love with the hit man who saves her after her family is brutally murdered by a corrupt DEA agent. See the uncut international film if you can find it, as many of scenes focusing on their relationship are cut from the US version.

2. Kick Ass

Chloë Moretz as the vulgar, ruthless, and extremely competent Hit Girl is the reason Kick Ass is as good a movie as it. Groovy and fun to watch, even Nicolas Cage can't ruin this one.

3. Let The Right One In (Swedish) -- Let Me In (US)

Both movies are very good and almost scene for scene the same. Lina Leandersson (Swedish Version) and Chloë Moretz (US version) each give stellar performances as a 12 year old vampire who moves to a new town in this slow and thoughtful horror/romance/thriller. It may be about vampires, but this movie is extremely graceful and mature, not some teen fantasy romance.

4. Pretty Baby

Not really my favorite because of it's melancholic and hopeless undertones, this controversial movie focuses on the life of a 12 year old prostitute (Brooke Shields) in New Orleans. There's child nudity (hence the controversy) and child-adult romance, but it's much darker and sadder than, say, Leon The Professional which I much prefer.

Hounddog

Not the best movie in the word, but not horrendously bad either. Lot's of Dakota Fanning running around in panties.

And the rape scene was hawt even if you don't see anything.

Bastard Out Of Carolina

Jena Malone as a 10yo that gets sexually abused by her stepdad quite a bit. Again, not the best movie but Jena is sexy as fuck.

Yeah, the scene in the car outside the hospital makes me spurt every time. The one near the end where he beats her and almost rapes her was pretty hot too.

The book was real fucking neato too. I particularly enjoyed the passages where she masturbated to the thought of her stepdaddy beating her.

Thanks for the recommendation. I hadn't heard of it.

The guy was kind of an asshole, manipulative, borderline molester, and generally annoying and unlikable in my opinion.

With Leon and Mathilda you feel like they're equals. In Lamb, Gary essentially manipulates Tommie into going along with him and throughout, adding an element of creepy to an otherwise touching story.

The end was genuinely tear-jerking, though, probably worth the watch just for that.

Look for something called Fruhreifen Report (14 and under), 70s foreign film. You will not be disappointed.

Also, if you can't find a torrent with both the movie and the subtitles, just Google the subs separately. A lot of sites host just the subs.
