Most of you know me as Hoshi. Personally I prefer Asuka or Nino but it's not my place to tell people what they decide to call me. I can tell a few things depending on the names people use to address me, so I'm fine with whatever you're comfortable with.

What is This?
This thread is a place where users can post all their saved moments and collages, even non-game related thread moments, everything that has happened here that was worth saving. Share with other people, remind old people, let new people know what makes the Hunger Games great, for you.

- This is an archive thread, not a discussion or nostalgia thread, images and posts may be linked and referenced in the current hangout thread.
- Unrelated and Duplicate posts will be cleaned, image swapped posts are encouraged to be deleted and reposted by the poster.
- Non-game related screencaps/collages are allowed, Game related events, reactions, and appropriate posts are strongly encouraged.

The Brant Steele Hunger Games Simulator! Users enter their characters into a game by posting an image and name of their character on an entry thread, where the players of the game are decided according to varying rules and methods and entered into the simulator by the OP, or "The Host".
Slides from the game are posted onto thread by the host and they players watch the characters they entered fight and interact with each other by events decided by RNG. We are in no control of the characters we enter, which is part of the fun, watching game play out at random. We are only able to reply to the game post and react to the many things that can happen in the game.
Roleplay is a huge part of the /hga/ community. Members of the community are known and recognized by their the characters they play. During the game, when their characters are in an event, the player the character belongs to will react to the event with an Avatar of that character. Roleplay is optional but encouraged to make the entire experience challenging and fulfilling for oneself and enjoyable and interesting for everybody else who participates.
The winner of the game is the last surviving Tribute, the last one standing. They will be rewarded accordingly by the host, most commonly in form of a "Wincard" or "Winscreen" image to commemorate the victory.
There are many different kinds of Hosts and many different kinds of Games. It will be a great experience exploring the variety of themed Hunger Games that the many hosts have to offer. This will be, no doubt, one of the most captivating experiences of your life.

So I guess it's time I came completely clean.
Not long after I ended my break and started hosting again, it was brought to my attention that Hoshi had been planning to gather hosts and try to get /hga/ up and running again. At the time, I scoffed at the notion, but over time, it became more and more clear that there was indeed something going on. One day it came to my attention that a board had been set up as something of a staging area for this plan. A part of me felt as if a plan like that could never succeed, another felt the need to do something about it and when I was told that Hoshi wanted me in on it, I knew I needed to look into it. What I saw shocked me: /sanctuarium/. Hoshi's final effort to regain control over the games, so what did I do? I played along and bided my time, but there was a problem: All of the others he had somehow roped into his scheme. People like Matsuda, Yuno, Jo, Rin, Adachi. I knew from the get-go that this plan was going to crash and burn and these people, some of the people I love most in this community were going to go down with him. So what did I do? I had to give people a target: Myself. I had to do something to draw as much hate from the other as I could and someone like Kamina fit the bill perfectly. Well known, a host and a guy who plenty of people like. I'll say right now, I'm sorry I had to do that, but it was necessary. In all honesty, I never cared one way or the other how he acted in threads, never have. With that in place and Hoshi already trying to push an idea involving "flooding the threads with intentional cancer"(Which disgusted me, not that I didn't expect him to try it. I'm extremely proud of you guys for refusing, I had a feeling you would.). I knew the time had come and I leaked the board on /trash/.
Why would I do this, you ask? Because I swore before I even took my break, that if Hoshi tried to pull anything to drag us back onto /hga/, that I would stop him no matter what. I put an end to his "final solution" and did everything I could to protect this community and the good friends who had been fooled into helping him from his "good intentions". Also, to pay him back for every guilt trip, every insult, every time he singled me out and tried to throw me to the wolves and every act of kindness that I showed him that was repaid with malice. That's why. I outsmarted him and destroyed him along with his last ditch effort to remake /hga/ into anything other than the lifeboat it was intended to be. Did you really think I wanted us back on 8chan? Why do you think during my short tenure as /hga/ admin I did everything I could to push us back to /b/ where we belonged? Did you really think I would unironically label someone cancer? Cancer is just another word for "something I don't like." It's meaningless. Did you really think I cared one whit about Hoshi's standards? I've said it before and I'll say it again: The only standards anyone should live up to are their own. Striving to improve yourself never hurts either.
Matsuda and the others, I'm sorry I had to decieve you in order to pull this off, but I had no choice. I had to stop him and in order to fool your foes, you have to fool your friends. Matsuda, Yuno, Rin, Adachi, Jo, Holo, Doos, Airi, Endo, Okarin, even you, Yosuke. You're all incredible people. I knew whatever happened after the leak, you'd be strong enough to handle it and I did what I could to draw as much heat away from you as possible. If any of you are angry at me over this, I understand completely and won't think any less of you. I love you.

Can do whatever the fuck I want on a board with no rules. I enjoy the place and find it a good pass time, see no reason to leave HG as a whole, /hga/ or /trash/ I have uses for both. Asking me to fuck off is the last way to get me to fuck off cause I don't care what you want.

Because it's my subjective opinion and if I see it fit I have every right to say it's better based on my personal research, experience, and observations. Depends on what you're talking about, if it's about the games or my opinion of them, I don't say they're right or wrong. The fact you're basing it on an objective wrong or right shows your flawed standards of judging how people view the Games.

I don't, I say shit and people reply to me. I do shit in my own independent self interest of the games, people get mad, and they give me even more attention. Sometimes I get people who agree and we become friends. If I wanted relevancy, I wouldn't have hidden /sanc/ and just attention whored instead of actually trying to make my plan happen. Thank the leaker and the good anon shitposting /trash/ team for making me even more relevant. I plan to host on a dead board like /hga/ and RPing secret avas to further my relevancy. To my friends with assburgers, that was sarcasm.

With ups and downs
We survived one year in this place.
Being Together

Having Fun Together
We make new friends, and of course there is nothing like a friend to rely on.
We socialize, even if it is RP we still know that there is a little part of you is still somewhere in that character
We have fun by playing games, hosting them. With praises and curses, we accept them both with open arms.
Along the way, we lost many people but many also joined along the way.
We may lost them but we can never replace them. For they create a memory on their own
For this I want to say, One Year of HG will be on 1st of March 2016. One of the peak moments in HG.
So what is the point of this post?
I might not be the one who started or popularize HG, I might just be a literally who. But I want this to be remembered by newfags and oldfags alike.
I want this to be the motivation to actually improve this community.
I will be hosting a game. 48 man , 9 AM PST. (Jesus christ, I will fail whatever's there on my mock exam) In order to commemorate this event.

As Hga's new lord, king, ruler, whatever the hell you wish to call it, I have decided we celebrate both the downfall of Hoshi and My latest success with a brand new game.
I have with me a Multiverse portal , capable of travelling through and bringing back pieces of entirely different universes.
With this device I can create a game that will span across every world of every person in HG!

This game will involve a bit of everything from touhou to the source of your favourite literal who.
The Rules
post one lethal and non-lethal event inspired by the source material of one of your ava's along with a picture of said character and what source material they are from.
You can use as many ava's as you wish regardless if they are filler, literal who or main.
