If it's with actual gameplay probably Sengoku Rance. Though I recall the Venus Blood series, or particularly it's later titles being pretty okay.

Should be Sengoku or Kichikuou. Both are strategy games and fully translated.

I played big bang age and want more like that. I also played that spaceship game, bit linear but I liked it.
I only played the first sengoku rance I think and it was just a wall of text with little gameplay.
