Hey /hgg/, I have recently downloaded the One-Click install (http://sukebei.nyaa.se/?page=view&tid=481716) version of AA2 and don't have any idea how to install it, the video guide and the faq don't have any info about it. Can anyone help me?

i recently installed AA2 aswell and it crashed for me multiple times upon launch before i got it to work. not sure if it was from the same torrent, but mine was about 9GB large aswell.

what fixed it for me was changing the regional + language settings. you likely already have the language for non-unicode programs already set to japanese because that allows you to play 99% of all h games.

for AA2 however, you also need to change the time and date format to japanese, from the same set of options, 1st row. everything went fine for me after that.

what's also tricky is figuring out which DLC and hongfire patch to install first. i think i patched the game using the hongfire DLC patch directly after the install, and then applied the actual (full) hongfire patch.

right now i'm running this clothing mod which took forever to install but is quite nice imo

i'm also looking for character cards and other mods that you guys like. somebody posted the elf queen girl from kuroino before and she's my favorite so far.

pretty easy to install the patch. The DLC patch goes first then the english patch and if you want the dlc you have to extract the dlc info into a certain folder that pretty much it. I dont understand whats so hard about the installation process. Just change the locale to japanese that pretty much it.

It took me ages to figure out how to install mine… I have (some) dlc stuff… But one of the personality's is not patched. I have tried the "no install" one, and its a load of shit.

what I had to do for both no install and install from 3 disks:

Using HF papplocal's right click run w/ jp admin, install apend set 1, Then right click run as jp admin install apend set 2, Then install HF patch V1.2, After that, its just right click run as jp admin AA2Play English and enjoy.

The "No install" one, needed to have mods removed before adding apend sets.

In a note pad, save as AA2.reg

I would advise changing both to

"INSTALLDIR"="C:\\illusion\\aa2"

Making illusion folder in root of C:, then dumping contents of no install to that, then applying patch.
