I can't really believe the games will end next weekend.
By the way, I was doing another list about Vahalla characters who are going to definitely participate of that match, and it looks like only 8 of the characters who made 5 kills but still lost in their respective matches will make in, and that is sorting from a list of 34 characters, whoa.

There are 24 "main matches" that lead up to a championship match. For every four main matches, there are losers matches that have rosters made up of characters who failed in the main matches. The winners of these six matches and the 24 winners make up the roster of the "Grand Slam" event. There is also the winner/runner-up match which consists of the 24 winners and the 24 characters who reached second place in the main matches, and the third wheel match is made up of characters who made it to third place in the same matches. The Valhalla match is made up of characters who got five or more kills, but several characters might have to be left out. This season there was a qualifying match to resolve that issue. The side games are just padding for the season and usually have a theme.

Make threads on the weekend to discuss rules and ideas for season 4 and beyond. I'm not inclined to making threads on Fridays but it seems to be inevitable anyway. I think this weekend the Winter-themed code can be used in a couple matches on there and we can take suggestions for it. There are also those other themed codes that we might plan on using in future seasons, so ideas for those may be discussed as well.

1. The first thread will be made at 9 PM EST. That's a little over seven hours from now.
2. Introduce the latest version of the Summer template. It has several more events than before, although it can still use some polishing, especially for the night events. That's why it has to be done over on /co/ for reactions and ideas.
3. Go through at least six more main matches and two more losers matches (after matches #8 and #12) before the end of the weekend.

Anyway, it looks like we're going to do the last ten main matches next weekend as well as three of the losers matches before the championship matches on the following weekend. Regarding that Cropped Porn match, I'm still deciding what I'm going to do with it. Normally it would be okay, but ever since the janitor started targetting the HG threads more and more I don't want to give that guy another reason to nuke them. It does help that Velma pic was the least questionable of the entire match, but still, I have my doubts.
I think I'll wait for next Friday and see with the other people in the thread if they want to see that match acknowledged in the chart. I'll probably use a normal pic of Velma for it anyway.

Stuff like "Nominations in _ minutes READ AND FOLLOW THE STATED RULES EXACTLY OR YOU'RE NOT IN" followed by "Give me __ nominees, SERIES *FIRST* THEN CHARACTER NAME / GREENTEXT YOUR ENTIRE POST WITH >s / PHRASE YOUR POST IN THE EXACT FORM OF '(character) is from (series)'" or something similar to that chosen at random?
Sure, some people will always be faster than others, with captcha being captcha, but giving everyone a level playing hoop to jump through at least weeds out those who can't be bothered to read and gives an extra chance to those who can.

Should be plenty of time to run it at some point, even though I don't know if the championship will be first thing Friday or last thing Sunday or somewhere in between.
Might have to ask for and use at least a new picture and/or nickname for one or two of those to run dynamically at game time. Not that I think you WOULD run it over and over until you get a specific outcome beforehand, but the thought might occur to one of the 23 inevitable losers, and it's safer to avert angry accusations popping up during the weekend. Even if it's a totally unofficial side match, it's srs business to some folks.

So, a lot of people (including Nonny) have said that they were underwhelmed by Season 5. What should we do to fix it?
I think hosts should decide the theme to side games more than votes, because people are going to vote for the most broad topics or otherwise ones that already fit popular characters.
There should also be less vanilla sidegames. Season 4 had three vanilla sidegames, Season 5 had seven. There were two times where they were back to back.

I was thinking to ignore themeless sidegames in S6 due of how much slots they are taking in the chart, at first, but after a while I realized it wouldn't be fair especially how those matches gathered some interesting winners and Valhalla members (ex: Mr. Ratburn).
I think the main problem is that there are some people that are too greedy for more games even when most of the anons and hosts already went to bed, or are too impatient to wait for the next day.

Despite I'm not one of the main hosts and I don't like picking decisions on behalf of everybody else (I personally find Nonny, HGM and Punk are better doing this), I have to agree with this. But I think the biggest problem is because people are suggesting and voting for themes that have been used too much like Old People vs. Young People and Wacky Races.

Man, those scallops did pretty bad, worse than Eneru! Morten Harket did worse too. It makes me wonder if any other winner has done worse than them. All I know is that "Luba" and maybe Jean-Bob did pretty poorly. Roy also had a bad run. Given Robin's performance, she'd probably be even lower if it weren't for her being third in the championship.
For all I know, Julie has the best overall run of any winner in the championship matches

It looks like a ton of images that were only uploaded some time in December (past S6M10, or the one Opeo won) got totally borked. T'hat means a lot of missing screenshots of games, as well as images of noms not posted outside of the timeframe (anything posted before or after this time is intact). Strange, because aside from one of the weekends the images were just fine. At the very least I have uploaded matches #16 and #24 onto imgur, as well as the Third Wheels match.

Oh nice. It looks like desustorage had its image issues resolves so nearly everything from today back to the tenth of December has restored images.

Proposal: Saturday and Sunday threads begin two hours later than the previous standard.
That would shift the time like this:
12 PM EST to 2 PM EST
11 PM CT to 1 PM CT
10 PM MT to 12 PM MT
And so forth. I think I got the timezones right.

Using this chart, I decided to figure out how well the winners from main matches with the same numbers do in the Champion of Champions. Below is a list of placements achieved by the main match winners in the CoCs throughout the seasons, grouped according to match numbers:
