Asturias, in northern Spain. Don't know much more else about him; I never spent much time with my paternal grandfather. I also don't know much about my other paternal great-grandfather, but I do know he was from somewhere in southern Spain and died young of some illness.

I do know a lot about him since he was a big figure in my childhood, but I don't know much abut his side of the family. He just never talked about them (and he spent much of his youth in America in a military academy anyway). I do know his mother was from somewhere in central Italy and his father was OP at dominoes, but that's about it.
The people who are closest to me are my maternal grandmother's family. She's the daughter of Puerto-Rican immigrants of Leonese, Aragonese, Andalusian, and British ancestry. She has four sisters and a brother, so you can probably imagine the size of our Christmas family reunions with all of their children and grandchildren.
Now that I think about it, it's kind of mind boggling to think of how many different ancestries there are in my family. If I count cousins, uncles, and the people they married, there's Baguettes, Germans, Italians, Mulattoes, and even an Israeli. And those are the ones I know of. Kind of makes you wonder what kind of mix your descendants will be and where they will live.

I don't know much of either of my families from before my grandparents.
I know my great-grandfather on my paternal grandfather's side fought in WWI. My paternal grandfather MIGHT have been an informant for the Portuguese secret police, and was definitely a fascist. I never knew until after he developed alzheimers. My father fought in the colonial wars and is in general a drunk and an asshole, and a commie (the entitled kind)
My mother's side I know even less. I do know they were wealthy before my mother squandered all the inheritance like an idiot. Owned a huge farm and stuff. My maternal grandfather was a huge old school commie rebel type. Never met him, but supposedly he'd actually use his house to hide people running from the regime, give money to the commies, and lost a shit load of money when the nationalization of the various private firms happened. The only interesting thing about my family is that my Grandmother on the paternal side originally was from Silesia but got expelled during WW II (and still holds an enormous grudge against the Allies for making it Polish territory), while my Grandfather from that side served in the army until his leg got blown off.
I know little about my grandmother from the paternal line (died before my birth), but my grandfather from that line would utterly refuse to eat anything red - red meat, tomatoes, cherries. My grandmother eventually tend to use food coloring to circumvent this issue.
As a kid I initially though this was just a funny quirk on the side of my grandfather, but now I assume something he saw during WW II fucked him up badly.

5:30am here so some of the flags might be mixed up for the heritage, believe I got them right though.
Family tree for me goes back to first fleet in the forms of soldier, free settler AND convict. Family tree also has the first child born in the colony (some were born on the ship journey, but go back to that point and we have the kid).
We have the Manx wing of the family traced back to Danish and Norwegian origins (iirc the member of the family who does this stuff obsessively got that part back to sometime in the ninth century), Maternal grandfather's father has a slightly confusing family tree as he was adopted into a Swedish family.
In other news, recessive genes produce some interesting hair colours. Since the picture doesn't fully explain, my maternal side has brown haired grandmother strawberry-blonde haired grandfather giving birth to a red haired daughter, and father's side has a dark blonde mother and blonde darkening to black at maturity father giving birth to a blonde darkening to brown/black with silver streaks father. They then produced me, with blonde/brown hair with streaks of black, red and grey and my sister, with light blonde hair. Go figure, I guess. At least we got the family back on track regarding eye colour. Not so sure about great grandparents as I only got to meet one (mother's mother's mother, who was very senile by the time I met her), so all of my knowledge of them is from stories, as such hair and eye colour might be a bit off. Working from memory at 5am is hard guys, sorry.

Don't have a camera cable on hand because sortingfag, and it doesn't photograph well, will try and find photo examples though. To explain, it doesn't look like a rainbow lorikeet or anything, so you would be disappointed if you expected that. To summarise, I was born with strawberry blonde hair (like my father was), that is to say I had blonde hair which had a red tinge when viewed in direct light. As I got older it darkened (also like my father) but unlike him it settled on brown more than black, with very few streaks of black through it. However, direct light on it still shows the strong red tinge to it, and 10 minutes in the sunlight (not really, but you get the idea) bleeches a lot of blonde. Add the fact that I started going grey at about 12 years old which means a significant amount of mouse grey in my hair now, and you get the craziness. It doesn't help that my facial hair is all red/brown.
I can't stand dyed hair, but it almost feels like I was born to be a crazy lorikeet.
At least I have eyes bluer than blue to be proud of in spite of the rest of the genetic makeup craziness

I'm not too sure about that. Not gonna try and play NIDF, but I would assume something of a lack of interest in the sport has something to do with it.
I think it's similar to currynogs where there doesn't seem to be much interest in strength competition but stuff like boxing is really popular. Tyson and Ali were really hard hitters and India/Pakistan has produced notable olympic/commonwealth game boxers.

No, don't let your DNA be mapped by kikes.
Go in archives if you really want to delve into it, public or else. If you have catholic ancestry you can go through church records for a long time. Some insitutions have digitised their archives and put it online for free. So be creative in searching.
I for instance found some of my relatives being commanders/priests in regional Teutonic Order records. Obviously am not directly descended from them, but their brothers/nephews.
